He is a white supremacist and "middle America" and conservatives were so desperate to be in power that they were willing to ignore those aspects of this bigot once he became the nominee.

Wow. Imagine being in a position where you know a good portion of your fame and money come from racists so you have to apologize and distance yourself from someone exposing racism :ladyhaha:

Everything she said is a bonafide FACT.

How about we don't generalize anybody who watches sports on ESPN as "racists"? What an incredibly stupid thing to say.

ESPN has really gone downhill.

Bloody hooker

She didn't lie though. ESPN is just trying to save their a**.:nails:

This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.

I guess I could've been clearer, but I did say "a good portion" :emma: To me that's as controversial as saying "A good number of people that eat food are racist" :laughga:  both are certainly true. The correlation itself is not really existent, but the actions from ESPN demonstrate that they believe the amount of people that may potentially hold such views is high enough for them to feel they need to distance themselves from her comments.

If that's not telling of their priorities, idk what is :gum:

It's like an artist not commenting on their political beliefs because they believe some of their fans might be offended, even if its what they honestly believe or feel to be right. On one hand, it might be good "business", but to me it shows a lacking of integrity based on the context and I think a lot of people think that's more important of a trait to have  in the long run.

~~~
Like, for one, her statements are pretty true. Trump's rise is measurably a product of white supremacy, and he HAS empowered white supremacists, promoted violence, sexual abuse/assault, belittled minorities, women, etc. We can measure this as well, from his announcement to his run, to his win. He's incredibly ignorant, incredibly unqualified, etc too... like, you've gotta be plugging your ears and closing your eyes to not concede this point :rip:
AND she's right that Trump and the GOP led people on a wild Goose chase with "Benghazi" (and emails) but were mostly quiet about the NUMEROUS scandals and anti black/poc, even anti conservative statements Trump made just in recent years because they didn't care (such as the Central Park 5 scandal) No amount of "opinion" will change these things, you can just choose to ignore them in light of a more positive view of him. I will only say that her "I cared about more than myself" comment is a bit "eh." While its true on some level that a vote for Trump was pretty clearly a vote against expanding rights and freedoms and equality for all Americans and people in this country, I don't have a strong opinion about the idea of a "selfish" vote - because its part of the point of having the right to vote.
So they distance themselves from pretty credibly claims just because it might offend some people who believe otherwise in spite of the evidence.
Isn't that the so called definition of being PC :gum:
