The whole era was meant to be music defining, but people had to betray her. The last bit talking about how she had not had a break in 5-6 years plus the team betrayals and slight underperformance of the album may have made her pull the ARTPOP plug. I personal feel like the album left a slight bad taste in her mouth, but she doesn't hate the album, just the memories that come with it. It's very clear ARTPOP was a project that got taken from her and dictated into a gimped version of her true vision for it. The music stands so strongly but she never was allowed to execute everything surrounding it to its fullest potential. I still believe in the potential of the music and I pray she does too - ARTPOP is the album that changed my life. I've been a hardcore fan since The Fame days - but ARTPOP is the album that touched me enough that I got a tattoo to celebrate it and honor it. Yo GagaGaga 6,541 Posted September 12, 2017 Share Posted September 12, 2017 Even though I wasn't a fan then, this video makes me so sad just because of the huge potential it had, it could have been one of her biggest eras If only her management would let her fully recover, and then let the album drop (long after Roar) I think it would've been so much bigger. It must've been so hard for her, its like she made a beautiful piece of art and then all her "friends" tried to bend it and twist it to make it more appealing to everyone and they just turned it into a mess I'm emotional after the video so that probably didn't make sense, but I'm sad now Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

The way I dress and wear my hair was very inspired by this era's fashion, this look specifically. I have a couple flannel shirts too because of ARTPOP. Gaga means the world to me and it hurt me to see so many people bashing her and ARTPOP. The clothes and performances we got this era were amazing and I have great memories but I'm so sad it ended up this way. It was planned as the continuation to Telephone. - She wanted Venus, but her label already sent DWUW to get a beats commercial (without her knowing) and made DWUW the first pre-order promo single. - Her label requested she add R.Kelly to DWUW so it would have better commercial success. - Venus video was never filmed, although she picked outfits, had a radio deal set for it, planned performances etc which all had to be last minute changed. DWUW couldnt legitimately chart in UK for the first month because of the single change. And Venus's week planned radio deal wouldnt apply to DWUW in the US because of the last minute single change. At the time radio was the biggest influence on BB Charts (now its streaming). - Her label wanted her to perform DWUW at the Youtube awards, and she performed Dope.
