Why does everybody think Gaga is old?

I think a lot of it has to do with her music's success. In the GP's mind there's basically a huge hole in her career between Applause and the Super Bowl Halftime Show. While she did have big performances at the Oscars and Grammys between them it was all in support of side projects that weren't necessarily designed for commercial success. This all makes people think Gaga has had her peak and is now sort of just coasting on her previous work's success, which she sort of is. I think she'll get people to see her as the young person she is (31 isn't that old) once she finally catches that second wind in her career.

It sort of happened with Britney. In junior high school I thought of Britney as an older person that did a lot of ****ed up **** in her young days and was now just working on herself. Then she released Femme Fatale and it's success helped me realize she's still young.

She was perceived old since the beginning of her career actually.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Really? The first time I saw her was on her Poker Face music video and she looked so young. Plus Poker Face is a song that screams youth so that helped me see her as this young girl fresh out of her teens with some edge.

Honestly there are probably a lot of factors that contribute to her being seen as this older woman. I still stand by what I said. I don't think you can deny that the four year gap didn't help.

Her role as Elizabeth just had everyone so convinced and now here we are.

Yes, I also do love partying in moving houses as seen in that one Bacardi tv ad.
