It's an amazing experience watching the stage come to life and watching Gaga stay close to the fans. But shouldn't the stadium dates have something more to offer? So many godda-mn people to have the same setlist and the same visuals on a little stage. I'd have a catwalk across the field with 2 stops across so she does 1st & 2nd part at the main stage, then the others down the next, ect. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Gen 223 Posted August 26, 2017 Share Posted August 26, 2017 Why? It's the same tour, people shouldn't compare different dates of the same show. It's one unique show, presented in different cities. However I would have chosen another alternative stage for the stadiums, i don't really like this one. BUT, it should really be reformatted since it's just a watered down version of the arena tour. She did add outdoor fireworks to the show though which took me by surprise. My guess is because it relies heavily on that one high up stage and then the floating stage so rather than try to reconfigure it she just skips it all together. It's a bitch to get there and honestly I'm not interested in a watered down version of the show. Like don't be cutting things out on us because we live in a major city. I mean, it probably wouldn't be that hard of a fix.. the dancer kills her, carries her off stage, and then she strolls back out for Angel Down. I think there are a few factors: Stadiums like Wrigley and Citi and AT&T are outdoor venues (no roofs), compared to arenas, which are completely indoor venues. As you saw, you can easily hear the music (because of how loud it is), and sometimes see it. It also means there are residential areas around. Sometimes there are city rules about noises, which could include curfews. For instance, I went to some shows in Montreal and it was just an open stage outside, in a parc in the city, and the rule was no more music after 11PM. Maybe because the show is so long, she had to cut some to accommodate. Another factor is maybe because stadiums have like 3x more people in them, compared to arenas, so it's just more convenient to finish a bit earlier to make the audience exit less stressful and late. Yeah I agree its very weird...like, I dont see why she cant just sing on the main stage. I know that for Diamond Heart her entrance is different because they dont have a projection screen since the place is huge, so maybe BM is not performed because she cant appear on stage other than walking out and it might look off? And subsequently thats why she cuts the whole act?
