Historically, those with Lupus used have a rather low life expectancy because it causes the persons immune system to attack their organs (mostly kidney). Now, with research and medical advancements and the fact that there is treatment (although no cure), people are able to live relatively normal lives, managing the symptoms of it carefully. What site says this? (Not trying to be confrontational or anything, I would really like to read what you found) I'm in the medical field and did a paper on the disease a few years ago. My doctor wanted to have me tested but I haven't had it done. My grandmother (had it) and my dad and aunt have it. There are different stages of the disease but with today's medical advancements most can be managed and live full lives.

This documentary shows the last year in her life, not just Super Bowl in February, as you wrote. So that basically means this clip at the doctor's could be filmed anytime in the last 12 months, not necessarily in February. We don't know when it was and what kind of state she is now in. Ziggy 11,762
She said a few years back that a doctor told her that it was possible to develop it but that she just needed to keep her stress in check (I think was what was said). It was in her Larry King interview.

I thought it was all about the days around the Super Bowl.Oh,well. But still,we as fans shouldn't worry about her medical condition. That's her business. If there was something terrifyingly wrong with her,I'm sure she'd tell us. And that doctor's clip was probably recorded before March 2017,when she dyed her hair brown, and after she dyed it blonde again, she also had orange in it,and she now currently has rainbow-colored hair. There are different stages of the disease but with today's medical advancements most can be managed and live full lives. "The prognosis of lupus is better today than ever before. With close follow-up and treatment, 80-90% of people with lupus can expect to live a normal life span. It is true that medical science has not yet developed a method for curing lupus, and some people do die from the disease. However, for the majority of people living with the disease today, it will not be fatal." Also "Research that shows 80-90% of people with lupus live for more than 10 years is often misinterpreted as giving people with lupus only 10 years to live. It is important to understand that the "10 years" used in this context does not represent the number of years the person lived after their diagnosis, but rather the number of years involved in the study.
