I talked about Kesha because her tours all have the same purpose as Miley, is not some high art pretentious ****, it's just a crazy party to have fun. You can't say Miley's dancers are cringy-wrothy when Kesha got her mother running around in a penis suit, they're both doing the same thing. I'm allowed to have an opinion, at least keshas tours are fun and she doesn't have to use a prop for every single song Marina stood still for two hours when I last saw her, everything's relative Anyway, what is the title of this thread about? But am I the only one missing the outfit designs we saw some time ago? I grew up in parties, and considering I'm 4 years older than Lorde, I believe I went to way more parties than her. Also, to be honest, she looks boring as f. to party with. The girl is dead. The tour was really fun, not to be taken serious, just go there, go wild, have fun, dance your ass off and then go home. Of course the tour looks exagerated, if it was just a normal party there wouldn't be anything new going on. Like a great artist once said, pop stars need to be exaggerated versions of themselves. She rides a ****ing giant hot dog, are you REALLY trying to take her serious? How come your last point doesn't apply to Katy Perry, whom I remembered you criticizing(yesterday?), for being too basic or something along those lines? There's a word in portuguese that separates Miley from Katy, there's no translation but it's called "escrachado". Miley is the definition of this word. Katy wants to be taken somewhat seriously, she's a sell-out and only does the cute and funny stuff to sell. Like I said before, Miley can be put along Kesha, while Katy wants to be on the level of the bigger superstars when she's just a bad joke. Rihanna is also a product, but her work got some personality, unlike Katy's, which are the definition of generic. Also, I was talking about tours, not the albums/music/their work as a whole. Edit: To those who are hating on her for using "gimmicks", let's just take a look at Gaga's gimmicks: -Meat Dress -Born This Way Album Cover -Riding on stage on a horse -Arriving at the AMA's on a horse -Full frontal video -Kermit The Frog outfit -Bleeding to death on stage -Giant Angler Fish -Bleeding Fountain -Almost every outfit ever -Etc. So sure, Miley's props may seem tacky, but that's her style. Just like how Gaga's style is using pretentious art to make a point. Plus, it's Miley's tour. She isn't trying to get attention...she is just trying to give her fans the show they expected. This tour is the end of the Bangerz era so it's not like she is still desperate for people to buy her album.
