Ask yourself when was the last time you looked at pictures from a concert you went to a year or two ago. If taking pictures and vids are a huge part of your life...as in you look back and enjoy those things often...it makes sense. If you do it out of habit or because you feel awkward without your phone in your hand 24/7, try something different- put your phone up and live in the moment! You might find that those moments were far more enjoyable than having pictures you rarely, if ever, look at.

I never use my phone during concerts - I just don't get it. You pay ****ing money for a ticket, yet you watch most of the show through a screen?

Hey guys,

I'm getting a bit bothered actually by the amount of cellphones turning on for filming the concert. Sure, it's for capturing a moment, but honestly it really ruins all the fun of being at a concert just filming there instead of having actually fun. :wtf:

For example this performance of DIC. Look at everyone just filming, instead of like dancing in fcking circles. It really ruins the moment and I honestly think that Gaga would be like " Oh well, I'm earning my money anyways.. "  instead of what it should be ; " Oh my god, look at my dearest fan enjoying the time of their lives!! " :wtf:

Should Gaga address this?

naw it shouldnt be banned people like to relive it from their point of you.  Like at TMB I filmed alot of it and took lots of photos but I was watching the show more than filming.  I filmed maybe small parts and took a few pictures and my phone diied fast LOL  But it doesnt bother me one bit.  Each LM should be allowed to enjoy it the way they want.

I like taking pre show pics of me and my friend in the audience and where we are in relation to the main stage.  I lost all my MB shots and it sucks cause I had some v good ones I loved.

I went to the artRave with a camera and took photos throughout. I regret it. I remember only a few moments of it (when she covered "What's going on" and the whole stadium was singing with her [shrieks in joy]), but most of it I remember through the photos. AND MOST OF THEM ARE BLURRY!!! :toofunny:

One part I particularly regret was when she was talking to the crowd after Bad Romance. I think she was talking about having a beautiful moment with us, or something meaningful like that, and she was slowly walking in my direction. The spotlight was right behind her. I took the most breathtaking photo while Gaga was telling us to switch off our phones and cameras!!:sharon:

Besides, what do I have to gain by taking photos or recording her tour? Thousands  of others are taking better photos and videos than me, and the tour will probably be professionnally and officially filmed anyway. So I just ruined the concert for myself!!

Well, that's just my experience. I took TOO many photos. And I kept watching videos of it before going. But I'm ecited to enjoy the JWT at 100%!

I plan on pulling out my phone like 5 minutes before the show starts and asking someone to take a pic of me to post online. After that I'm putting it away and not pulling it out til the show's over :golfclap:

I have a terrible memory so I'm going to record my experience so I will always remember it. But there's a fine line between filming the entire thing/staring at your phone and just recording parts of the concert.

I like to take a few pics and videos to remember the concert, but I've stopped taking a lot of either lately. I like to enjoy it in the moment!

the spirit she once had with her fans at her shows coming to dance and experience something together was unique. It's probably hard for her to relate to it this way but it's as far from her, today, as it is from every other artist. it was a happening-  in that special little universe they shared it was possible for people to come for that experience. at coachella she told people to put their phones away- to me it's not really different from telling them to put their hands up or whatever but a ban would freak some people way out.

if she really wanted to push for that early unicorn of a vibe she had at her earlier shows she should consider it from an artistic/production perspective. elements of the production should include a message about how now is happening now, and life is always now, for instance.

she could make fun of people that do that- 'you see these people that come here just to look at a screen they could watch from home' but then she'd be dividing her audience which she tries not to do.

iow if it really bothers her, it's something about the way the world is that's bothering her. it's like telling people to avoid eating a lot of carbs- they'll have more energy and feel better, it will never be like telling girls gone wild to take their shirts off on spring break

LOL, actually there is a video somewhere from a girl filming on her phone of that exact moment and Gaga is looking directly at the girl telling her to put her phone down and all she does is scream Gaga is looking at me etc etc. :sharon:

they should invent a reaction based on this
