Lets see how the rest of these backstage experiences go. I just hope that the wording for the package won't be her restricting herself, people paying 1.5k deserve more than just a hi, a photo and bye. but again let's see what happens. Now, I don't wanna be negative, but I will be very honest: Spoiler This is MY opinion. TBH lately it seems to me that she is sort of distant now and instead wants to focus more on her craft and art instead of being the leader of a community. This is not wrong, and I will always appreciate her anyways if that is indeed the case, but the thing that really made me love her was the connection she had with her fanbase, it was what set her appart from the rest. As fans, you have to stop wanting every part of an entertainer and just start appreciating them musically. Once an artists gives their all to you in an intimate setting, they lose their mystery and then fans feels like they know the artists and their every move. Maybe I'm just a germaphobe but I'd be too scared to interact with a stranger especially if I'm not sure if they've been sneezing and coughing and then hug them and hold hands with them. She does seem much more distant from the fans, she seems to be over everything. I think she just wants to sit there and make music without dealing with everything else. Guest Posted August 3, 2017 Share Posted August 3, 2017 Pre-show meet and greets are supposed to be take-a-picture-then-leave kind of process, even with Ariana Grande's Dangerous Woman Tour. The long time bonding you're talking about with a long conversation would be the after-show m&Gs where she picks up fans from the audience (but in this case, it was still her first show so it's understandable why she did not pick anyone to go backstage yet) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

She's said before she doesn't want to be seen as a goddess or to be idolized in that way, and I think some things fans say and do make her feel awkward and uncomfortable. Obviously she doesn't want to be "mommy" and she knew she had to distance herself a bit. She's been doing this for a while now. but like someone said, this wasn't even meant to be a meet and greet. Can you imagine the stage breaking moments before the opening night? Holy crap. I wonder how they pulled everything together. Good thing they did because the show received great reviews. It could've gone in the opposite direction which would've had a huge impact on things in the future. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
