Game Of Thrones Question [Spoilers]

Who here watches GOT?

If you do, I have some questions and this is the only online forum I'm apart of and I have some BURNING QUESTIONS.

I don't know if this is in the right section but mods can move if needed.

Anyway, here's my q:

If Jon is the daughter of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lynna Stark, would that not make him a Targaryen bastard?  Would a bastard have a claim to the Iron throne?

Now let's say they did get married, then isn't Dany daughter of Aerys? Then wouldn't her claim to the throne be stronger?

Why are people saying her claim will be weakened when Jon finds out about his parentage?

Also, if Bran is the only one with the information, how is this supposed to be legitimised? If Jon does decide to join the Game of Thrones, then how will he legitimize the claim? The raven messages? I'm confused about that?

And if Dany woke dragons and is the unburnt, does that not mean she's a true targaryen? Pure targaryen blood flows through her, does this not make her claim stronger?

Jon demonstrates no traits of being Targaryen.... I mean they're literally FIRE and he's ICE. Can't get more opposite than that.

Help.

The original book is named The Song of Ice and Fire:emma: Well, it depends on the writers and director. Daenarys is of course a Targaryen, and Jon is a bastard. Technically, Jon is also a Targaryen so he does have a claim to the throne. However, how the plot works out we don't know. As winter has arrived, Daenarys' role is more crucial as ever as we know only fire can melt ice :gaysia:

No. We, bastards never get anything. :toofunny:

Technically, yes.

I think it would be because since I am a man, I will have a stronger claim bust since I am a bastard, I have no claims whatsoever. I'm just saying that people are technically wrong and Dany's claim will not be weakened as I learn about my parentage.

Bran can prove his skill/gift. He can predict **** about the near future and possibly about the past that only certain people know thus proving the legitimacy of his skills.

She has a stronger claim.

Spoiler

well of course, this is assuming that Jon never gets legitimized.

Thanks for answering all my questions Jon Snow.

I must add that I find you so attractive and all and a great leader but I hope you never sit on the Iron Throne. I'm team Khaleesi all the way.

Here's to hoping the bastard never wins the Game and the rightful QUEEN sits on the throne.

It's speculation that Jon is a Targaryen but it's HIGHLY likely that this is true. Jon doesn't seem very interested in ruling over the 7 Kingdoms but his claim to the throne would be higher if he wasn't a bastard. I think most people would find it difficult to prove that he is Targaryen

So far it has been established that Jon is a Targaryen bastard, however, there is a possibility that Rhaegar and Lyanna had a legitimate marriage during Robert's rebellion, therefore making him a legitimate heir to the Iron Throne (probably won't happen but it would be interesting if Samwell discovers a scroll in the Citadel that proves that there was a formal marriage between Rhaegar and Lyanna).

Yes, she is the daughter of the mad king Aerys, but the power has shifted so much in the 7 kingdoms. Targaryens are no longer popular. In theory, she has the greatest claim to the Iron Throne right now, but who knows? Jon could be a legitimate heir.

Bran will convey the knowledge to Jon and the Starks. It would be up to the people of the 7 kingdoms to decide if it is true. Howland Reed (father of Meera Reed) was the only witness.mp3 during the birth of Jon Snow in the Tower of Joy (it is possible that he will make an appearance to prove that Jon is a son of Rhaegar and Lyanna).

It is worth pointing out that Jon doesn't need to have the strongest claim to the Iron Throne as he can be the King in the North despite being a bastard. He won over his people, and that's why they made him king.

Interesting indeed....

Did that @Jon Snow acc just create an acc to answer my question?  Isn't that weird??

It's not speculation by now, he is Targaryen. In the books, the theory was raised right in the first book. The TV series waited for the last season, but from the backstory we've known since the first season and with the flashback, speculation became fact.
