he's doing b-list stars now?

B-list is Selena Gomez or Demi Lovato or Kesha. (I like them all but they are not A-list sorry)

The timing for this is kind of unfortunate... :toofunny:

Spoiler

I also think that the whole carpool segment has really lost it's novelty. It absolutely should not have been used to frequently because I feel the magic is gone... or fading very quickly. I also think that, fundamentally, the concept has a very short shelf life because, quite simply, there's only so many big stars around you know. And he's had a big chunk of them now.

The segment worked well because it brought us closer to huge, enigmatic stars. Gaga, Mariah, Adele, Sia... that kind of calibre. I mean even Justin Bieber and One Direction were exciting because of their level of fame and hype. There aren't many artists remaining who are even 'worthy' of Carpool anymore if it's to be taken as an 'A List' slot - which it kind of has stopped being in the past several months. Taylor, Beyonce, possibly Nicki... who else?

The hype and views are going down, too. Madonna, Katy Perry and Britney Spears - they are all iconic in pop music, yet their Carpool's basically flopped. I feel like Gaga probably just about got in on it on time... her's didn't exactly smash, but it's one of the Top 10 performing Carpool's.

This was all totally irrelevant but I felt triggered

I totally understand you and I've noticed what you noticed too.

I actually don't think they try hard enough to make it consistently interesting. Gaga and Adele's Carpool were considered two of the best and most interesting, I think a huge reason why is because they were both truly singing properly and delivering great vocals.

Other artists just mime occasionally to their own songs and sometimes overshadowed by the vocals in the tracks whereas Gaga and Adele were genuinely singing.
