John Slayne 4,154
Honestly? Good. I don't understand why would people want to go there in the first place, it's just giving money to government that actively kills and oppresses its citizens.

YeehawKylie 7,817
Honestly, I would love to see North Korea. Likely something to do with how secretive the country is, but more-so due to the architecture. The architecture of communist/socialist regimes (like the USSR) have always been interesting to me. That being said, I'd never go unless the current regime fell. I'll settle for pictures...

You are right, American government and political system are problematic but nowhere near as bad as in the North Korea.

Trump's America (and the America preceding it) is flawed in several ways...and flawed is an understatement. Not quite sure it is comparable to North Korea... Are u sure? What about that student that was in their territory trying to get that road sign? He was tortured for a year under Kim Jon Un's wig. When he was brought back to America 1 year later, he died from cardiac arrest from all the torture...

Honestly, if I weren't American I think I may (given I had the financial ability to). I know a lot of non-American 'westerners' travel there through an agency (I guess all tourists have to do so...) and have little issue. Granted, plenty of Americans travel with an agency and most don't encounter issues. But, I do feel like the animosity between American and North Korean governments leads to American tourists having a bit of a target on their back. While I would certainly follow all laws of the land, I would be completely paranoid that I may be accused of something I did not do.

Just make sure you don't screw up. Also I watched a documentary about N Korea and they teach their students that Americans, S Koreans and Japanese people are horrible. And everybody will feel paranoid, remember that American guy that got sent into labor and had to get out via the UN or something?
