Rihanna won Best North American act, so I don't know why everyone's saying that she won nothing. But yes, it was weird that even with 8 nominations, she only got one. However, Rihanna's only ever won 2 EMAs previously, so I don't think it's exactly unusual for her to be snubbed somewhat. After all, Europe doesn't choose the nominees, the EMA committee do, and maybe they don't like Rihanna all that much or Rihanna's European fans just don't bother voting. You'd think with all the hit singles Rihanna has that she has the kind of fans who'd vote for anything she's nominated for, but she doesn't have a history of winning big at fan-voted awards. Her fans love her catchy singles, but that doesn't mean they'd support her to the point of obsessively voting for her in online polls. Justin's fans win in that area as he has a legion of insane teenyboppers who'd do anything for him. But yeah, it is weird to see Justin and Taylor win all those awards when they have never done well in Europe. The second biggest shocker for me (after the Biggest Fans award) was Taylor winning Best Live - Muse are normally the winners in this category, or any rock band, really. I really am not liking this recent trend of artists who can't sing getting awards for their non-existant vocal ability. That's why, whenever Gaga gets nominated in this category, we vote like crazy because this award is the one where Gaga always gets snubbed the hardest. She is such an under-rated live performer. She has been nominated for Best Live three times previously at the EMAs and has never won. I don't think she's ever won a Best Live award from any award ceremony actually, which is a damn shame.

At the end of the day, everyone could vote, not just Europeans. It was likely that everyone voted worldwide and that's why we have the results we do. Mind you, I have serious suspicions that the awards given to Taylor and One Direction were bought.

I think same Taylors face you could see she already knew...And 1d got that award because they are new to get buzz??

Wow, iTunes shaken up somewhat. I was surprised to discover that Little Things isn't getting officially released until December, just under a month after the album's released and it's weird that a Little Mix song is doing better than a OD song. It seems like Simon has scheduled OD to flop what with their promo schedules and release dates. With something more ordely, they'd have a better chance of smashing.

Anyway, here's the album release schedule for the week ending November 18th and it's a big one:

November 12th

Lana Del Rey - Born To Die: Paradise Edition

One Direction - Take Me Home

The Rolling Stones - GRRR! (greatest hits)

Greenday - ¡Dos!

November 13th

Christina Aguilera - Lotus

Susan Boyle - Standing Ovation: The Greatest Songs From The Stage

Chart predictions? Mine are:

#1 - One Direction

#2 - Rolling Stones

#3 - Lana

#4 - Susan

#5 - Green Day

#6 - Christina

Give or take a few. Unless an album omes along that really surprises us.

Xtina's album still not top 10 on itunes.

Almost the same as mine. Of course, other albums could fill in those spaces, but this list is more a sense of what order the new releases will be in. Oh, and by the way, thanks for that compliment you gave me about my opinions in the other thread!

Damn. Even I didn't think she'd be doing that bad. If she doesn't even go top 10 with this, it's going to get really embarrasing. Psyched to see Lana at #3 - I'll be ordering her album tonight and hopefully get it sometime this week. Will the two editions for Take Me Home chart as one album? Because I didn't realise separate versions could chart.

Looks like Little Things is going to be #1 this week, after me thinking the release had been delayed. It's already at the top of international charts too. Kill me now.

Xtina is #18 in midweeks.

Wow, she'll be lucky to hold on for top 20.

http://www.bbc.co.uk...t/update/albums

The fact she can go from a #1 album a mere two and a half years ago (albeit a very short-lived position) to this is astonishing and proves how much Bionic destroyed her career. I'm seriously considering the possibility that she may get dropped from RCA after this. How she plans to tour next year with an album that flopped even harder than Bionic is beyond me. Maybe because she's on The Voice, she's under the impression that people care about her music. Her PR team needs fired as well, as they have organised next to no promotion for her and just left Your Body to flop. Now they want her to promote the album several months after its been released? Who's working at that label and don't they learn from past mistakes?

By the way, where's Susan's album? Has it not started charting yet?

So bummed out about Little Mix missing out on that #1 with their amazing song while OD get a #1 with their mediocre, non-genuine song. Ed Sheeran wrote it and I bet had he been the original artist, it wouldn't be doing as well. Ed may be doing well in the UK but he's yet to get a #1. Simon Cowell obviously made this stupid decision of putting LM and OD on the same show knowing that OD were more likely to get the #1 seeing as their album was being released on Monday. LM should have been performing their new single this week, in anticipation of their new album coming out on Monday. But no, Olly Murs is due to be performing this week even though his album is scheduled later. This just goes to prove that if Simon's your XF mentor, you'll get places, even if you don't win. The only XF winner who's still being reasonably successful is Leona, Simon's act. Leona, Olly and OD are the only XF acts who are having any success at all (not including LM as they just won and their future success is yet to be determined) and what do you know, they're all Simon's acts. If he mentors you and you gain any success, Simon will always have your back and make sure you get top notch promotion. If he isn't your mentor, you're on your own because Simon doesn't like other winning judges stealing his glory. It's a phrase that bears repeating - the only winner of X Factor is Simon Cowell.

And poor Christina, YB down to #40. Her album was #18 in the midweeks on Wednesday and its probably fallen even lower by now. In 2010, Bionic debuted at #1 and sank to #29 the next week. If Lotus debuts at #29 on Sunday, that'll be just too cruel.

Lotus is down to #21 in today's midweek update :/

Agreed about the OD/Little Mix comments. In regards to Little Things, I was seriously hoping this whole "dull is the new dance" phase would end, but obviously not.
