StrawberryBlond 14,296
Isn't it weird how just when Live While We're Young has sunk without a trace internationally is the time when OD's first contenential European dates arrive? I thought it was just typical how the tour only visits English-speaking regions and then they announce this. Some of these venues are way too big considering that they're not huge in continental Europe at all. 16 additional dates in Western/Northern Europe. They've got 4 German dates totalling 62,000 tickets and a really bizarre choice of venue in Italy with the Verona Arena. The one that really made me laugh is a date at the Friends Stadium in Stockholm...that holds 65,000 people. Yeah, just because your debut album went to #1 in Sweden does not mean that you can sell out a Swedish venue of that magnitude. Gaga's a much bigger star and she can't even make an honest sell-out from two nights at the 16,000 capacity Ericcson Globe. Madonna's the legendary queen of pop and she could only sell 36,000 tickets at the 75,000 capacity Ullevi Stadium. So, what makes Syco think that OD are capable of these feats? LWWY only went to #23 in Sweden, one of the worst chart performances in Europe! Who's the person deciding where all these dates are being held? I could do a better job for free. It's hard to tell if Syco honestly believe that OD are much bigger than they actually are, or they know they're fading and are just trying to make themselves feel better by releasing dates so it looks like things are going well and at least some money will be made. But it's just going to look bad when those dates will have to be moved or cancelled.
craig 680
Looks like Candy is going to be #1 single again, despite Radio I refusing to Robbie because he is "too old" at 38. He's showing the same thing Gangnam Style is vs. US radio.

zNetworkMonster 1
It's like £3 on amazon (PHYSICAL) why would you spend more on a digital version? why its so cheap in UK? its 14£ [converted from my countrys cash] in my country wtf and i bought it i could bought more cd for one cd price to increase sales omg flopped hard :emo:
StrawberryBlond 14,296
It's so weird seeing 21 edge closer to falling out of the top 40. The day when it's no longer in the top 100 will be a bizarre feeling, but I'm looking forward to it. why its so cheap in UK? its 14£ [converted from my countrys cash] in my country wtf and i bought it i could bought more cd for one cd price to increase sales omg flopped hard :emo: Likely because albums sell better in the UK than elsewhere in Europe due to our big population, so a cheap album + big population = good sales. America has similar reductions too. The UK and the US are two of the biggest music buying countries and their charts are considered the most important, so a reduction can really go far. But yeah, I don't see the harm in lowering the price internationally too. All the better to get increased sales in smaller countries, right?
