Can someone explain me what is supposedly wrong with photoshoot like that? Doesn't it break stereotypes actually?

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Not really. Even Harry dresses more "feminine" than this. Like it's a pretty basic clothing style for either gender.

Being genderfluid is very real, even though some people identify as it.

If Zayn had worn a dress and then Vogue proceeded to call him being "transgender" or "gay", would you have the same reaction?

Wearing a lace top doesn't make you genderfluid.

It wasn't about the photoshoot, if I'm remembering correctly, but what they're labelling them as. Neither of them identify as gender-fluid individuals, so calling them that is not only wrong, but also kind of implies that real "men" can't wear fabric cut into shapes traditionally worn by women and vice-versa.

The gender fluid community is overreacting, per usual. (I'm not even sure I believe in actual "gender fluidity")

Vogue were idiots for trying to make this thing seem cool and progressive, when gender-bending fashion has happened multiples times throughout the past 70 years already, from "Some Like It Hot" to David Bowie to Andy Warhol to Grace Jones to Boy George and Prince to Lady Gaga at the 2011 VMA's to Miley Cyrus on her Dead Petz Tour.

None of this is "new."

It's how Vogue said how Gigi and Zayn were being "genderfluid." The photoshoot itself, I don't think, was the problem, it was what they said about it.

No the photo shoot is fine, it was Vogue labelling it as gender fluid that was bad, cause like obviously it's not.

It does help break it, but labeling the couple as genderfluid is not, as that is an identity that they dont define themselves as, and not really a fashion statement.

A proper headline could have easily been unisex fashion

The photos in itself is not wrong, just the headline they chose

Spoiler

if i am wrong pls educate me instead of dragging

Walk down the runway but don't puke, it's okay. You just had 10 donuts today. Without frosting.

why don't they get actual Genderfluid models for a articles like this?

I hate to say this (and wish it weren't true), but there isn't anyone famous or powerful enough that openly describes themselves as genuinely "gender fluid" that would garner in the sales.

At the end of the day, Vogue is still a business.

They're not genderfluid, though. If they had an actual genderfluid model or person to do this shoot, or they didn't use the excuse of gender-bending fashion as a means of being genderfluid then it wouldn't be a problem.
