Of all things I could read here, this is probably not true. In fact, it's universally not true. Any passion you have will get diminished in time. I believe that everyone could see this if they did a little introspection into their lives. I know that's true for me, at least.

Have you ever wondered why Gaga isn't communicating with fans as she used to do? I mean directly or even through tweets. Or why she isn't putting out as many music videos as before.

passion for music and passion for music sucess are two different things, she's still making music she loves, therefore, she still has passion for music

and she isn't communicating with fans anymore, you know, maybe because her own fans treat her like ****???

Life has a hopeful undertone |-/

I respect your opinion, but I don't think i've ever disagreed with anything more in my life.

Right? The Superbowl performance was amazing. And that's coming from me, a fan who is stuck in 2010.

A lot of her fans treat her extremely well.

hey, you don't have to agree with me, that is fine. It is possible we all have different opinions.
But I'm not talking about her just performing on stage (I admit, that is a factor as well, yes).
Im talking about interviews, her relationship with social media, most of all the relationship with her fans.
She used to seem excited to communicate with us, helped create a whole social network where we could share art and be together as monsters, and now all of that is long gone and she barely even tweets nowadays. That open communication is gone. That is what I miss. That is the spark I am talking about.
She used to seem excited about her own projects, it seems like she no longer is.

She is excited about her own projects, it's her fans that are stupid. No wonder Beyoncé doesn't use Twitter. This fanbase is obnoxious and I'm glad she realised it, too. Most of the criticism during AP came directly the fanbase.

I don't know what spark you are talking about, she is a grown up woman now. She is respected by the industry, she is her own boss, etc.

ARTPOPism

I think you're ignoring that she's been trough a lot since the end of BTW:

- She broke her hip (and realized while in hospital how many people in her life don't care about her/just want her around because of her fame and money + had to learn how to walk again)

- Suffered a lot of physical and psychological pain (that still remains btw) + major depression

- Split with her long time manager that was seeing her only as a money maker machine (so she was all by herself in all that mess in the middle of the ARTPOP era)

- Had to deal with the hard criticism around ARTPOP + with a lot of fans bringing her down (and even with all those stuff she didnt gave up on the album + gave us the G.U.Y music video pratically as a gift because she payed for the whole thing with her own money because interscope didn't want to invest in the album anymore).

- The end of her engagement

- The death of her best friend

And a lot of other things that I may have forgotten and that we dont know. Of course those things affected her perspective around fame + fans.

Also, in the TF-TFM era she was still trying to reach "the fame" and was completly devoted (sometimes in a unhealthy way) to her career -and thats the "glow" you're referring to. She said a lot of times that all of her money was supposed to be spent in her own work/concerts/career, that she didn't even had a house. And at that time she was dealing pratically with the "good side" of the fanbase. But after all those things she took a break from all this chaos -she experienced the best and worst parts of the fame and all the bittersweet feelings about being a public person.  Right now she has other priorities, she spents more time with her family and friends, pays more attention to her mental health and started saying "no" to the things that she doesnt want to do - that sounds like happiness to me, the true glow. She's radiant right now in her own way. She's finally finding the balance between her personal and public life -and she never experienced this before.

The only thing that she stopped to do is interact with the fans in the social media. But she still cares a lot about us. She made a Joanne listening party only for monsters and talked a lot with everyone in there + gave us the g.u.y music video + she was always kind and passionate with the fanbase.

Here's some things that she said about her past few years:

“I was angry, cynical, and had this deep sadness like an anchor dragging everywhere I go,”

“I just didn’t feel like fighting anymore. I didn’t feel like standing up for myself one more time—to one more person who lied to me.”

“I needed a moment to stabilize”

“People always expect me or want me to be wild, but now I just want to be a normal girl”

How you can say that she was happy during the past? She's so much better now!

In fact I hated Gaga when she was a crazy dumb b!tch. I started kinda liking her in 2015 when she was showing off her vocals on C2C tour and became a monster in 2016 after hearing Til It Happens To You. I was already a big fan in the pre-Joanne era. Also the new Gaga made me like the old Gaga too. She's just trying different genres, musical & artistic directions. I think I'm gonna LOVE JWT a lot. I just have the feeling that it's gonna be amazing. This era is not messy like ARTPOP and not over the top and crazy like TF-TFM-BTW. This is something in-between and I'm loving it!

What you say is exactly how I feel.  I just started differently.  I didn't hate her during her weird persona years, I just paid no attention at all to her back then.  I started liking her in Sept. 2010 when I saw the video of Speechless Live at the VEVO Launch Event.  In that performance I recognized the phrasing talent necessary to sing jazz, which is my favorite genre.  Like you, I also like the early eras in retrospect.  I watched the videos of her interviews and performances from her earliest days.  ArtRAVE and C2C tour were great, and am looking forward to JWT.  But I mostly follow the person more than the artist.  In the very long term, great artists will come and go, but the good she has done in the world as a person will last.  The impact on the people she helped and the lives she changed will be passed on from generation to generation.

I live outside the space time continuum.

She has changed, but I guess that just her being human, and we all know how she can't keep herself under one persona for too long. In five years we're probably gonna be shocked how she doesn't look like she did during this era.

I do miss her avant-garde aesthetic but the thing I truly miss is her communication with her fanbase. I lived to see her twitter replies everyday. But oh well, at least in person she's still seems excited and cool. Maybe it's a thing of the era.

I believe that's not the case. I think she is still very excited about her projects and we have nothing on what is coming up. Remember, she is Gaga. She might drop LG6 during August and snatch our weaves before we can prepare :selena:

Her career is established, we were her money makers and she doesn't really need us anymore.  On the other hand, she lately has been involved in really different projects that don't call for that much fan interaction. I'm sure that when the tour starts we will see some glimpses of "her past self".
