What happened to Gaga?

GABEL

I think gaga in 2009 is like the coolest kid in the high school, the one who everyone else trying to be but never could .
but she's an adult now and she finally realized that's not her true self, it's just one of her alter egos which she created to make people worship her.
the saddest part is that she's trying too hard to be the pop star people want her to be....but she's no longer that girl, that's why she lost her spark because she can't feel the passion in doing it.but every time she did those tributes or collaborations with rock bands you would be surprised how passionate she is( and she already told us she wants to be a rock star.)

Let's not forget she broke her hips in 2012 and she's still suffered from the chronic pain.she can't dance as well as she used to be.

I think Katy is facing the same problem, too. they're both tired of pretending to be the invincible figure
but once they show their vulnerabilities people ditch them because they don't want an imperfect queen

The drop in popularity she experienced after BTW was a shock. It started during BTW but it wasn't really obvious until AP came out and people called it ARTFLOP and said she was over. If you're noticing something I would say that's what it is. She was at the very top and then lost that it seems almost all at once. I think she finally feels back now though since the Super Bowl.  But I also think she does have different perspective now. She sees it more as a business, not totally, but much more than she did before.

I don't believe she was shocked by her drop in popularity at all. In fact she warned us all about it before it happened. Her music video for Paparazzi was a direct reference to the cycle of popularity she had noticed in pop culture. The media loves to build people up to tear them down. Then suddenly the world loves them again.

She also released the "Lady Gaga is over" video just before she released ARTPOP because she knew that is what people would say. She knows what she is doing.

I also just want to point out that her career is very much inspired by David Bowie. She lives to replicate his art and showmanship. She even mentioned in an interview years ago his Ziggy Stardust (Gaga?) persona and how his fans went crazy when he suddenly changed and they longed for that persona to come back.

Gaga is an artist, a very talented artist, who is constantly evolving. Each era will sound and look different to the last. That does not mean that she does not care anymore and that any of it was fake.

That ''spark'' comes fom the bling, when she does great things (like the SBHS) she is the same girl than she was 5 years ago. And excuse me the Artrave was amazing,

The spark from SBHS was so much different, many critics have talked about that in fact

She shouldn't have played safe there, she's not Pink or Beyoncé, she's Lady Gaga

Tbh she really seemed and acted kinda fake at Coachella, Idk why...

It's because of her voice. You know she makes those accents like the British and German accent she adopted during the ARTPOP era. It makes her performance really theatrical and fake.

Of all things I could read here, this is probably not true. In fact, it's universally not true. Any passion you have will get diminished in time. I believe that everyone could see this if they did a little introspection into their lives. I know that's true for me, at least.

Have you ever wondered why Gaga isn't communicating with fans as she used to do? I mean directly or even through tweets. Or why she isn't putting out as many music videos as before.

ArtRave was AMAZING and full of happiness, rage, freedom. I wish I could experience it once again.

You all are such drama queens omg :air:

She's the same person, she has the same passion for music she had when she started her career

I have mostly started to avoid the threads from now on because I've started to strongly dislike this fan base. They're all dramatic and numbers obsessed stans.

i bet you half of them don't even like Gaga anymore. It's sad really to read through threads about how "disappointed" people are in her....are you serious? If anything she should be disappointed in this disgusting fan base. Y'all are pitiful.

Any performance that Lady Gaga has done from 2008 to 2014 is better than the Super Bowl she gave us. She looked lost, she did not look happy and the performance had no concept.

She was literally smiling all through the performance, danced intrincate choreography while singing live and jumped off the rooftop of the stadium, all with a hip surgery  :rip: if you think this is dissapointing youre just objectively wrong lmao

furthermore its the most watched musical event in history so what you think of it is actually irrelevant. x

I guess I don't understand the topic. Her performances seem just as passionate as ever. I definitely don't see how the artRAVE lacked any kind of "spark", or anything at all. I actually preferred it over the Monster Ball.

I respect your opinion, but I don't think i've ever disagreed with anything more in my life.
