Gaga: form a band!

This idea is kind of inspired by all the great people who praise her constantly. Great, legendary names, like Yoko Ono and Elton John. And I'm opening this thread because I really, really wish Gaga sees it and gets inspired 

 

Imagine Gaga announcing she will team up with Elton, Yoko Ono, Marina again, and many other music  (and not only) artists to form a music project. A project with a proper name, releasing one album with new songs and visuals, all conceptualized by the gathering of these great art minds. It would be the most exciting music project of our generation. Just like a band, they could tour, travel the world, do performances and normal promo. Something that would last for a regular album era, two years at most.

 

She kind of tried to do it with ARTPOP, collaborating with big names of contemporary art, but she had the management issues and everything was sort of interrupted. It was definitely not enough, and at the end everything was still too gaga. This new band is not gaga, but the gather of lots of artists.

Thus is not something new and innovative, lots of artists gather together to do these projects, but together they always bring to the game something exciting.

 

Would you be excited for a project like this? Who would you team up Gaga with? I mean, and this is directly to you Gaga, we know you are sick of the music industry and stuff, so this band would be not only the best way to reinvent yourself and keep experimenting, but also to gather around you your favourite artists and create between yourselves something good and positive and aside from the bad energies of the music industry.

I love this idea so so much!! It'd be great if she got fashion designers on board too, to curate the style of the era and make unique cohesive fashion for the project.

That would be an incredible idea!!

i would like to see her form a band with Elton John, Sting, Stevie Wonder and Tony Bennett (of course!!) This would be a magical band 

Maybe add some artist or fashion designers like Marina, Jeff or Donatella.

The goal here is to create a project that also reaches the public as one act, so a charity event would be a bit... uneventful. I mean, we already have so many charity performances once in a while. We want something that is a bit more impactful in the music scene, so an album with a full tour and a few performances would be better I think. So, in my perspective, easier definitely, but more impactful I don't know. It's like The Lady is a Tramp vs Cheek to Cheek. The first was new and a great collab, but that whole "mega new pop star collaborates with legendary old jazz singer" impact came with the full album. A band with a whole era could create something very cohesive and impactful not only musically but also commercially (whatever we might say, sometimes talent does win, specially when Gaga follows the right people).

So many alternative artist develop these projects though  see Atoms for Peace (I can't think of anyone else, but I know there are ). Every Kanye West album is a project with many great artists lol imagine a project with a whole band, where each member is a gifted, recognised musician. And together they write an album, which can only be musically excellent. They plan a whole era, with performances and videos designed and directed by two or three of the most talented artists alive, since the responsibles for the visuals would also be considered part of the band. It could be so great

I think it's also a recipe for disaster. They might all be wonderful musicians, but they all have completely different music tastes and would never be able to finalise a whole record.

That's why collabs tend to happen in pairs. When the collabs are not in pairs, the songs have usually been written by writers and sung by artists with less creative integrity than Gaga and the likes.
