She wants to separate herself from the teen image, yet: I'm not the biggest Katy fan or anything but I do feel like ppl mistake "colorful" for childish and stuff. I mean in her TD era she was always made to look like a pin up doll of sorts. Always perfect and sexy but with the Witness era I have noticed that she is letting loose a little more. She doesn't care if she always looks sexy or not. In fact that picture you posted sort of proves it. She's in a lose, ugly dress, with like flat shoes and a chef hat. She only shades implicitly by saying something like "I love my fans, they are always supportive with my growth" and stuff, meaning she might taking all these other fans who criticize her as "not fans" Still, a tee would've been cute for a giggle.
