What does 'fashion of his love' mean?

I never understood these lyrics and when I recently decided to look it up on Genius, it turned out to have no explanation there. Not the whole song, just this "I was made for loving him, the fashion of his love" thing.

„I allow myself to fail. I allow myself to break. I'm not afraid of my flaws.“

She's saying she's exclusively his and that she wouldn't be the perfect fit for anyone else, that they're love is a perfect match. It's like she's a tailored suit in a way.

Well since the song is written for McQueen, the lyrics mean that Gaga's love was a part of him as of as saying that they have been really close friends and they meant a lot for each other.

Yeah i think it means that it's a perfect love that fits like a custom made dress.

It means: "I was made to fillin' it, the filler of this album"

Excuse me no.

We have two selves. One the world needs us to be, compliant, and the shadow. Ignore it and life is forever suffering.

He's gonna dress her up in his love, all over, all over. Gonna dress her up in his love, all over her body (all over her body) :reductive:

Oh sorry, I forgot no one must ever dare to touch Born This Way, it's flawless from beginning to end, it's message saved lives, it's her best work and blah blah blah

You can touch Flop Kids and Born This Flop (the song), but FOHL is great.:nails:

Well it's about Alexander McQueen and her relationship with him + his death. So I always interpreted the title and lyric to be somewhat literal. To her the clothing he made was an actual physical embodiment of his love and passion. Just like when you're a kid you draw a picture for someone you care about and let all those positive feelings come across in it, that way they can feel joy too. So even in death, when she puts on those clothes he made - she feels close to him and feels the mutual respect and love they had for one another.

It's kind of weird that it's a song for her late friend and it's so uplifting and catchy.

„I allow myself to fail. I allow myself to break. I'm not afraid of my flaws.“
