Is a lot of modern country music garbage? Yes. Has country music produced some of the best music of the 20th and 21st centuries? Yes. If you want to overcome this unnecessary hatred showcased towards country music, I can recommend some albums for you to listen to. if you can find me someone queer in that list i'll try it for you

For example, I then can't recommend people like Dolly Parton (an advocate for the LGBTQ community for decades), Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris, etc. because they all identify as straight. Think of all the people you wouldn't be able to listen to in other genres (including pop music) if you limited yourself to just queer people. Anyway, the record above was a critically acclaimed album written by a homosexual female.
