That probably would've been funny if the hate bandwagon for country music wasn't so big or unnecessary. MR definitely has country influences but I don't believe the academy thinks it's enough to nominate it. I'm gonna abstain from getting on my soapbox about why this mentality towards country music needs to stop. Is a lot of modern country music garbage? Yes. Has country music produced some of the best music of the 20th and 21st centuries? Yes. Seeing as how she doesn't seem to think that the music she has made is country, then I doubt that they will but you never know. Plus if she is nominated then she would have a good chance at winning, the country music community seem to really like her ever since Miranda Lambert did that interview about how nice Gaga is and how they talked about spaghetti at the Grammys.
