You mean the team that screwed up her entire era and personal life and made her have depression and hip pain? no thanks :interestinga:

This is inaccurate... Troy was the only one that was rude to her near the end. Everyone else left because of his poor management.

i don't know if she isn't focused on music as she was before or she doesn't care anymore but her old performances, old sceneries, old music videos were totally different from now, she's older but not that old, c'mon just 3 music videos for Joanne which 2 of them actually sucks, i hope she'll focus on this things because she was kinda iconic in mv and live performances. Btw the Super Bowl performance gave me hope.

But somehow this is the same new team that made her perform Million Reasons in every single show and opportunity that has arisen though

This is perfect example. Her team coukd make her perform the song on every talk show and irrelevant awards but she sang the song on only biggest platforms. This is how to promote a song

Can you not see that it's Gaga herself who is refusing to do multiple Promo spots?

It's because she's realized that despite having all the fame, and working, there was no excuse to missing out on the lives of her friends and the people she loved.

She's learning that despite having all the fame, she still needs to make time with her personal relationships. Which, if you've been paying attention, is one of the messages of Joanne; "sister's sister, father's daughter"

Watch the Good Morning America interview, I think, where she said that she 'missed people'

And please remember, Bobby got her a spot in the Oscars that changed her career trajectory, Bobby got her to perform at the Grammys three years straight, and Bobby was able to book her the superbowl. Please guys, Bobby can only do so much. Gaga's tired of being a full time popstar and we just have to deal with that.

EDIT:
Also read from others about the MR promo. Gaga wanted to push that song, and her team clearly delivered with the promo having her sing it at almost everything, including that British event that was so out of the blue.

You guys are forgetting that she got rid of her old team and hand picked her new team, because they help her have the work-life balance that she wants.

It's not that 'Gaga's team sucks', it's that Gaga doesn't want to be the biggest pop star in the world, and run herself into the ground, and live as a money making machine for the suits anymore.

This couldn't be put into words any better. It is a complete mystery that so many Gaga fans fail to realize that she has reevaluated her position not only in pop music, but in the life. She has come to the new essence of understanding of who she is, what makes her happy and how she would like to lead her existence from now on. And this new understanding doesn't involve as much promotional tours and public appearances as it used to, and even if we bring Gaga's old team back, we won't see much changes.

The thing is, the "old Gaga" with her old team would dress in a futurists avant-garde outfit ever time she would go to Starbucks for a cup of coffee. The Gaga we have now is not ashamed to go to  Starbucks in jeans and slippers, and you may bring thousands of Formichettis, but she will still go out in jeans and wear haute couture only to some special events.

Gaga has had an impact on pop music and pop culture. She was a part, probably the brightest part of the EDM movement of the late 2000s. It is largely thanks to her, David Guetta, Black Eyed Peas and well maybe Calvin Harris that the club music migrated to the radio waves, and that DJs started calling themselves producers. Her artistry attitude inspired the greatest changes in the pop culture, for she brought these elements of David Bowie, Madonna and Michael Jackson attitude when it seemed that pop culture was getting extremely boring, too hip-hop and LA glamour dominated. She helped to bring back the fantasy. She was living halfway between reality and fantasy all the time:derpga:

But I think what she learned with ARTPOP was that it is impossible to stay the most influential pop star forever. That you can't keep capitalizing on your impact for much too long, but to make such an impact once more is a harder than anything task. People, the general public, will inevitably care about you less, and instead of trying to desperately catch their attention by seeking ways to be hip and cool (with a k, like Medoner would say) and investing half of your spare time into promotion of your records, it is a lot more beneficial to concentrate on your singing talents and fewer, but larger promotional spots. Because is she keeps delivering the quality music, people will want to see her on tour, and this is the most important thing for a singer.

As for the Katy hysteria, please keep in mind that Katherine has been gaining new young fans (I mean like really young, even children) with every new record she has so far put out. People may say whatever they want about the maturity of Prism, but so far Katherine's sonic and visual execution of her records was largely targeted at kids and teens. Even her streaming that is going on now is organized out of calculation that it suits younger fans more.

The last time Gaga massively gained a lot of new young fans was with BORN THIS WAY. It has been 6 years since that record's release, and 8 years since the release of THE FAME MONSTER. Gaga's fans and audience are a lot older than Katy's and they are not as interested in following any popstars schedule and promotion.

I like them as people and her friends, but they do seem incompetent for the job.

It's like they're trapped in 2008 and have no idea how to use current or future trends. They are so slow and have 0 innovation. Troy knew how to do that, he and Gaga were the first to focus on YouTube as a music video platform which lead to Gaga's success all over the Internet + most watched MV in history. That's only one example.

Bobby's peak is opening a GUY hotel :saladga:

I thought he was amazing during C2C era, but now I think it was mostly managed by Tony's sons.

Her team right now pretty sucks! What she needs is not a new team but her OLD TEAM back...

No:saladga: Her old team was the one who f***ing overworked her during BTW Ball and made her have a horrible time! Promotion is not more important than Gaga's well-being and her creative spirit being totally free:saladga: Can you guys please stop with this 'If only her old team was back'

Her team didn't make her perform it though. Her new team are more like advisors. They give her ideas of what they think will go over well, and she makes the final decision. She wouldn't have performed it over and over if she didn't want to and didn't believe in it as a single.

The comparisons need to stop. Different pop-stars have different priorities. For the likes of Katy it is doing whatever it takes to gain success. For Gaga it's stretching her creative mind and creating art, and hoping that her art will gain success through it's integrity.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

No i would rather have Gaga be surrounded by people that care about her rather than people who want her to make the most money possible.

Also, it doesn't mean that Gaga can't work. I mean, she has to work, she must do promo  Just not as vigorously as last time as the end result was a broken hip.

I think personally what she should do is choose specific wide audiance promotion (super bowl was perfect) and that way she doesn't have to work like a robot and run herself into the ground. Get enough promotion round particular performances and the hype helps carry the interest through to the next carefully chosen performance. If that makes sense? She's not found the Balance yet. At present it's all or nothing sort of situation.

She needs a new team. She's an artist but lots of hunties forget, that it's also her job. She needs a strong marketing team, wich brings the needed know how to spread the art into the world that this wonderful woman created. Sure you can say 'the music not the bling', but why? She can focus on her music but with a strong promo strategy, she could easily stay relevant and get the attention her masterpieces deserved. None of my friends know just one song from her since BTW era. You can safely say that ARTPOP and Joanne certainly have as much potential as previous albums. Every Gaga era could be succesful with the right marketing strategy. I just don't get why they don't use this chance.

Yes! She also needs to expand to more countries too, I believe the only other places she traveled to for Joanne were U.K. and Japan :oprah:

And Germany I believe. Still not a lot at all, but I'm sure she was just busy rehearsing for the Super Bowl.
