How they've brain washed the people of Uganda and some other African countries, is as tragic as it is sick. How in the world can you use that one small example to downplay what is a GLOBAL PROBLEM of Islamic Terrorism. What compels you to backhandedly defend them? I don't defend anyone, I'm just pointing out that islamophobia isn't justified also IHOP may not be precisely a terrorist organisation, however, they are responsible for thousands of people who died only because of them and their lobbing in African countries, so they are not better

If they want to show pride, I see no reason why they can't attend. It's mind boggling to be proud of your LGBTQ identity and support an administration trying to erase it, but banning them only makes the Pride event look bad and non-inclusive. In what way is Trump trying to "erase our identity". These claims simply are not rooted in reality. Him saying he "shares interests" with religious groups isn't the same as "Put the gays in the gas chamber". You are CHOOSING to jump to that conclusion. Trump supporters, and/or the President himself are NOT responsible for your irrational conclusions. If you want to talk facts, policy, and quotes that's all good, in fact I implore you to hold him or any other politician accountable. We however, are under no compulsion to apologize for your irrational and wild accusations and assumptions. You don't understand where Gay's For Trump are coming from, and you clearly don't intend to. shmal96 2,928
Trump is literally the guy who is like "I support gay rights, I have a bunch of gay friends!" But when he's around his douchey straight bros and their gay friend says hey he's all "Wow dude don't hit on me i'm not a queer don't shove that stuff down my throat". Trumps 'douchey straight bros' equivalent are the right-wing republican and "religious freedom" fighters Personally I don't even think Trump is a homophobe. But the people he SURROUNDS himself with, and people in charge of policy making ARE HOMOPHOBES. Actions speak louder than words. Trump (and some of you here) can say all you want that Trump supports gay rights, and that he's the 'most gay friendly president' , but when it gets down to it, he's going to take the side of his administration, and that viewpoint is discrimination hiding as 'religious freedom' You can't be seen as an advocate for gay rights because you held up a gay flag upside down at a rally once. Ironic. also "erasing identity" doesn't "gas chambers"... it means he has no intention in fighting homophobia and is against marriage equality and would probably be glad if we went into hiding like we had to before it's time to wake up, just because he held the rainbow flag upside down once doesn't mean he's pro-LGBT+ all the facts are against him, he doesn't support pride month, my screenshot proves that he doesn't support marriage equality, he shares values with anti-gay groups, appointed numerous explicitly anti-gay people (including VP Pence) who fought hard against marriage equality, I could go on... like how much evidence do you need to realize you are wrong??? If they want to go to show their support and/or show their pride in themselves for being apart of the LGBT community, then why the hell shouldn't they? I absolutely agree that Trump is not pro-LGBT and it is GFT's fault for not seeing that, but at the same time, they shouldn't be silenced and suppressed. They want to attend Pride as gay people, so they should be able to 100% do that. Plain and simple. If you don't like them being there, then you can do one simple thing. Ignore them and enjoy yourself. What does Pride mean if you include/embrace people who support and agree with Trump that LGBT people who happen to be Mexican, Black, Muslim, Immigrant, Transgender are inferior and deserving of less rights than white cisgender gays? There's nothing harder for people to do than admit they were fooled.

If you would have asked Obama and Gay Marriage in 2008 he would have staunchly opposed it, somehow in your mind though Trump is the faker, and that one little screen cap is all you need to roll with it. (even they way he says LGBTQ disgusts me... but anyway) protect from what exactly? and what does 'protect' mean? is he gonna battle homophobia and transphobia? is he gonna help pass trans bathroom laws? is he gonna protect same sex marriage??? he didn't say any of that, you are just desperately reaching and you hear what you want to hear instead of what he actually said... First of all, when has Trump ever said that Mexican, Black, Muslim, Immigrant and Transgender are inferior? I think that Pride is somewhere for LBGT people to celebrate being LGBT. Other factors like being black, Mexican, young, old etc. and someone's political views should not be thought about (that may come off harsher than i intend it to be). When i go to Pride (never been before) and look at someone, i'm not going to be thinking "hmm i wonder what their political views are" and "oh they're black/Mexican/[insert other ethnic group here]" . I'm just going to be thinking about myself, celebrating being gay, being a part of an awesome community and enjoying myself.
