The only thing I dislikeĀ about this is how they make a huge festival for something asĀ disgusting as a killing spree just ''for fun'' like wtf? :rip:Ā

tryna go ask Alice, tryna catch that rabbit

This is such a complicated situation because my westernized mentality sees this as horrific but then again I eat other forms of meat which are animals so I feel like a hypocrite criticizing this. I think only vegans and vegetarians are allowed to fight this because they are actually the ones doing the right thing...but for anyone who eats any other animal I think we should stay out of this. it's out of our lane.

I mean... cows, chickens, pigs, and other animals get treated like this or worse on a daily basis, and eaten in huge numbers, and you're all guilty of supporting this yourselves, so...

Don't get me wrong, it's f.ucking disgusting, and I loooove dog and need a fur baby in my life like last week, but you can't just ignore the treatment of other animals that are just as intelligent as dogs and then get saddened about this.

It's literally the exact sameĀ :green:Ā  And if you are sad about this but not other farming, then at least own the hypocrisy and admit it.

I'm all for shutting down this festival though. Shut it right down. And in regards to farming, if people want to continue to eat the animals, they could at least be treated well and slaughtered quickly and painlessly. I just can't understand this world. Humans are kinda trash.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Again I feel it's really about doing our best to help remove / not contribute to the suffering in this world -Ā whether that means a $5 donation to an animal rights foundation, signing a petition and/or going vegan, please don't detach yourself from your empathy/compassion based on 'lanes' and just do whatever you can to help

There's nothing harder for people to do than admit they were fooled.

Actually, we can still condemn this tradition. It's just so weird and bizarre like, they torch the dogs aliveĀ :gum:

What can vegans do? Sign a petition? China isĀ the strongest country in the world right now. Not even the US can do anything considering they owe so much to them. China is so hardcore.

So you're right, it's totally out of our reach, of anybody's reach. So sad considering humans have history with these companions since forever.

I’m getting on your nerves

This is true. Like I have donated before and will donate to animal rights I just don't know..like I feel like such a hypocrite when I critize Chinese festivals for eating dogs when I have participated in eating in buffets tons of ribs and stuff like that. It's so conflicting :(Ā

omg they torch them ALIVE?!?! I didn't even read the article ...ok now this is unacceptable and that is something I can 100% fight against. It's just the action of eating dog is what I feel like a hypocrite when I fight it because I eat other meatsĀ :giveup:Ā but to torture an animal and not slaughter it as easily as possible is 100% un acceptableĀ

They believe the flesh and bonesĀ of traumatized, violently murderedĀ of dogs to have health benefits,Ā which - like most myths I heard growing up in several of these countries - is aĀ total falsehoodĀ made up by some random psychos sittingĀ in a hutĀ which then travelled through the mouths of many ignorant uneducatedĀ dads and moms over generations,Ā then becomingĀ a "fact" for the whole region/country, resulting in something like the #YulinFestival.

There's nothing harder for people to do than admit they were fooled.

And.. the vegan propaganda has started.

Yeah I eat meat, I love it and not going to stop, I hate how the animals are treated, I hate when male chicks are being killed after 1 second of being alive, I hate the meat murderous market, but I love to eat meat, I understand your fight and I support it, just don't terrorize me, I had enough terror in my life, I don't need it in my food.

Am I hypocrite for hating this market? maybe,Ā  but I don't care. none of you knows me to horribly judge me by writing some nice speeches for a few likes..

This is a very strange comment tbh, first you say;Ā

then you continue with,

why is that not argument enough for you? Hate is a powerful word, I'm assuming if you say you hate what these animals go through it must repulse or torment you in some way, so why come to the conclusion that you will buy into this organization anyways? And I wonder what the word propaganda means to you and why you felt the need to use it here when you yourself feel the way the animals are treated are immoral?Ā

If you understand and support it, why not stop purchasing products that come from animal abuse? Vegans are 1% of the population, I apologize but I find it very hard to believe you are being terrorized, but the animals who made the products on your plate ARE being terrorized. All you have to do is stop buying them.Ā

Yes.

You are taking this as a personal attack. I do not know you personally, nor do I care. All I know from your post is you find animal abuse wrong, and therefore all I can ask is why do you still purchase animal products when you do not need to?Ā

Any questions you may have may be answered in this link, a large one being about veganism not being affordable (beans, rice, potatoes are the cheapest foods in the store).Ā
