I don't even know what we're arguing for at the moment. Clearly you have your opinion and I have mine. I'm going to exit, really nice talk, though.

Madonna was doing some interesting stuff with ROL before Gaga hit the scene that were very much influenced by the EDM/Electronica community.

Ray of Light isn't as EDM as TF lol

Also, are we forgetting Justin's FutureSex LoveSounds? Justin's Summer Love sounds like the male version of Starstruck.

So you managed to come up with 1 (ONE) album and that invalidates Gaga's hand in EDM and already constitutes her album as generic?

Gaga and a handful of other artists were all experimenting with that sound

And yet you still haven't named substantial acts/albums. Even if you do, tell me, was EDM mainstream at that time? Because read my posts above, even articles from UK also cite Gaga as an important figure in the rise of EDM.

How dense could you be? I am not arguing Gaga is all-original, but for you to consider that her album is generic at the time of release when Hip-hop/R&B is what dominated pop/mainstream up until 2007 is just ridiculous.
