But Malibu has a great summer vibe to it the same way DH has because from the moment I heard that song it always sounded like a summer song. And it would be a great way to kinda get the Joanne era back on track with the kinda chill, country vibe also mixed with her also having the Cure out. DH is an upbeat pop rock song with very aggressive vocals in the chorus and especially in the bridge. I think it resembles Freedom from Beyonce more. I think Bad Romance went beyond The Fame in many ways and The Fame's success wasn't why it worked. It probably helped that she was an established force but I think BR's vocals, rhythm, catchy ra-ra hook, dark imagery are what helped it become so successful. Bad Romance is the exception to the rule then. Almost every Gaga hit has somewhat subdued vocals. Judas, Marry The Night, You and I and G.U.Y. all under performed to some degree.
