Jews, Muslims, and gays could be banned from adopting in Texas

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Parents seeking to adopt children in Texas could soon be rejected by state-funded or private agencies with religious objections to them being Jewish, Muslim, gay, single, or interfaith couples, under a proposal in the Republican-controlled Legislature.

Five other states have passed similar laws protecting faith-based adoption organizations that refuse to place children with gay parents or other households on religious grounds — but Texas’ rule would extend to state-funded agencies. Only South Dakota’s is similarly sweepingly.

Time to ban religion, it's really going out of control, everywhere in the world.

I wouldn't let a Christian, Jew or Muslim to adopt or naturally have a child so they can brainwash the little soul to believe in total bullshit.

How many people needs to be hurt in the name of ancient book character that never existed and will never be?

How much money are we going to waste on something that has no meaning, that doing nothing helpful? all the money that we are burning for religion we could spend it on education, science, the poor..

When people will realize it?

It's devastating and this is a fight of a few, because so many people are protecting religion and religious people so badly that people like me are "the bad ones".. meh.. the world is so cruel..

Forgive me for saying this but you not letting religious people adopt makes you no different to those religious people that want to impose their views on other people.

Would you let a person that speaks everyday with a magical unicorn that they can't see or speak to. worshiping it, praying for it and see it as the greatest thing in the world, to adopt a child? or would you send them to a psychiatric check?

I agree, I believe that religion is hurtful and is subliminally instilling hatred into our minds. Religion has gotten out of hand before, it would be horrible if it gets out of hand now.
