WHERE have all Katy Perry’s fans gone?

Perry’s new single Bon Appétit entered the ARIA singles chart at No. 35 this week on 4358 sales.

Bon Appetit also had a soft debut in the UK chart at No. 40 — unusually low for a pop superstar releasing brand new material from an upcoming album.

Last year’s Olympic single Rise, which was critically panned, was an Australian No.1.

Rise was good though, a lyrical departure for Katy Perry and more serious, mature sound. CTTR and BA try a little too hard in my opinion (the former to be 'woke' and the latter to be 'hip') and are not entirely special enough to support or purchase. Katy has done similar songs before and much better. No one wants to invest in music that presents a regression of talent and sound.

Y'all I literally remember this headline splashed front page across my local entertainment magazine in 2013 in reference to Gaga, this is truly her ARTPOP era oh my god

What's funny is that Katy was HUGELY successful here in Australia during the Prism era and she had like 2 months worth of tour dates.

This feels so weird. With Gaga, you could tell at the end of the BTW era that things were getting rough, this feels like a random abandoning of an artist.
