katycats are already dragging gaga just because katy made a good video that doesn't mean it will go #1 on the hot 100. they're getting so brave i was starting to like perry but nvm

I'm sorry but the visuals are AMAZING in BA video! So well directed, scenes are well thought, I mean.. They delivered with this one imo, and it can make or break the song!

Reading some of you guys comments its when i realise y'all are probably teens. This video is disgusting, its objectification of a woman 101. "Her hair is amazing" / "why did they cut it at the end". Light up a bit, get the big picture and stop the Barbie complex.

Sis, I don't think Gaga's label doesn't believe in her or support her less than Katy's. The thing is, let's be honest, since the BTW era, Gaga has been involved more and more in each video. I mean, from Judas up until Million Reasons, every single video has basically been directed by The Haus Of Gaga. She's taken complete control over her visual output, refusing to hire other directors. 

It was her choice. And her label gave her this creative control. She even financed G.U.Y on her own, Interscope had little to do with it.

Now, the John Wayne video was directed by Akerlund, it may be a sign that she's taken a step back and will get more help from professional directors again, I don't know. Tbh, I admire the fact she's decided to control everything. But sometimes, it's a little bit all over the place and it misses a clear plot. Which turns many people off and explains the lack of replay value.

Both would be welcomed but I'd take #2. In my opinion Grammys aren't credible anymore. They're great to celebrate but they're just another stat, really. She hasn't had a #1 in years but she's had a Grammy fairly recently. So give me those chart positions that I love

Sometimes it's almost a blessing to be the only really huge star on a label because they will treat you like royalty...Gaga is signed to Interscope which has several equally big, relevant artists like Eminem etc...so they sort of just give Gaga a bit of a chance at the start of her eras and then just let things go if the initial result was not what they wanted. Ugh...sometimes I can feel a bit of jealousy but at least I'm able to admit to it.  

 

same. I'm always so jealous that Katy's team is SO on point when it comes to everything. From promoting her songs to music video releases, to artist features, MV ideas, etc. Ever since Applause, It's been very rocky for Gaga & her team to be on point like that (maybe because Troy left?). It's extremely disappointing when you know how talented Gaga is. This is why I feel so strongly about TC. It's her catchiest song in a long time and I wouldn't want this hit to get away because of failed promo (which, let's face it, is not that hard to do) or a meh music video...
