Gaga Filming ASIB Greek Theater Day 2 - DETAILS!

So I went to the 2nd day of ASIB filming in LA at the Greek Theater. Here's what went down! 

Gates opened at 5pm but I arrived at 6:30pm, still got a very good seat 10 rows away from stage, very close. All our phones were locked away in pouches.

They were setting up for a while and kept us entertained with raffles. It was a very professional and relaxing experience, we got a free hot dog meal and seating was assigned to you.

Gaga went out and said hi briefly, looking very cute and Stefani. She was wearing a white tied crop-top and black jeans with some chains hanging in front. Very simple girl looking.

They began shooting at 8:45 PM.

They were filming a scene where Bradley was finishing his show with a song, then took a moment to introduce a "friend" that made it to the show tonight to sing. We were instructed to react as if we don't know her 

(fans were still annoying and screamed like crazy)

Then Gaga walked out (in character), super shy, refusing to go on stage, slipping on the ground as Bradley scooped her up in his arms. She still refuses so he goes forward and sings alone...

Then in a dash of courage mid-song, she walks up to a mic in the back and starts singing. ***We did not hear any of their vocals at all, it was not live, they were singing to a pre-recorded studio track in their earphones. But we still felt her energy and stage presence very strongly. There was a part where she belted, the song climaxes, and everyone went CRAZY from there.

 

Then she went up to front stage and sang intimately and belted with Bradley, sharing one mic and almost kissing each other as they're singing. Afterwards she acted very shocked and Bradley took her hand and raised it victoriously as the crowd went wild some more. 

They did several several takes of this scene and each time had like 4 big cameras rolling 

A lot of people left cause it was like 11:30pm at this time. I ran up and got their seats and eventually ended up on 2ND ROW super close to stage.

During the BREAK, Gaga surprised us by jumping on the PIANO--everyone was freaking out and ran to the front stage including myself, 10 ft from her--and she sang MILLION REASONS and YOU AND I. Everyone was singing along, it was a really sweet moment. Then she ran backstage and the crew started their meal time for an hour.

During the hour we had an MC guy who brought up a lot of fans to sing!!! There were a lot of talented fans singing all the Gaga hits....and then there were some others... 

 

Then we were back to filming and they wanted to move the entire audience to a back row so they could combine it in VFX.

By then it was 1am and I was really exhausted so I had to leave I got a phone number of a really dedicated fan that will stay so I will also post updates from him   If you came, please share too!

One of the crew guys said they are expecting to shoot till sunrise. HELL TO THE NO

 

 

UPDATE: 

It ended around 2:30am where people ran up to the stage and she signed their tickets.

from what we've heard so far they seem to be shooting the same couple of scenes over and over again (first at Coachella now at the Greek Theater)

I wonder if those are actually the same scenes filmed in different venues or if during the actual movie Gaga and Bradley's character will be performing the same songs more than once

(she's also wearing the same outfit from the Coachella shoot - the picture released by Entertainment Weekly)

Oh wow this is very interesting to read. Love how you wrote every tiny detail. How was her acting though? Can you rate the experience in terms of her efforts on a scale of 1-10? Thank you so much for sharing.

I think what they filmed here is Gaga being introduced and singing for the first time ever, and in the other locations maybe they perform it as a duo after Gaga joins him

8.5! She started off doing a little over-acting with her facial expressions but drastically improved each take as Bradley would give her notes. I would rate a 9.5 by the end. I was actually very moved with her performance that I believed it and almost teared up.

Every time she was performing and on the mic, she was completely in the zone and her expressions were everything. I would say a 10 on that.

So Bradley was guiding her til he gets it perfect right? That's really good to know. I want Gags to snatch that Oscar and it won't happen if they just let her run it by her rules.

Yes!!! And they said release date is September 2018 (not sure if that's known yet)

I went and stayed till the end! It ended 10 minutes ago. At the end you could hear Gaga sing live. Very beautiful song. They made us pantomime de reactions so everyone actually heard her voice. She then signed people's tickets (she didn't get to me sadly). Also didn't get any of the tickets they gave away. Hopefully we get to see ourselves in the movie when it premieres!

I was sitting right behind her the whole time. She was pretty funny, but yeah, that last note was  Better than me, though.

They redid the scene of Bradley trying to get Gaga to come out and sing. It was all pantomimed, so our voices caught a rest. That's how we heard her sing live.
