What do Fans Mean by "Fillers" on BTW?

They're being ridiculous. Everyone has a few songs each album that don't speak to them, and those few songs are different for each listener. People who call the songs that they don't personally like 'fillers' are just being complainative and immature.

Then before you know it someone comes along who has opposing views and we have arguments. Because people aren't mature enough to accept the fact that each person has different favourites and least favourites to one another.

For example, Electric Chapel, Swine and Just Another Day are some of my personal favourites off their respective albums, but you/OP considers them 'fillers'. And the fact we have different opinions is fine.

THIS!!!!!! :golfclap:

I hear people say, when talking about BTW it's "full of fillers", but when I think of Fillers on BTW the only songs that come to mind are Bad Kids, and Highway Unicorn and Electric Chapel at a stretch. And it isn't like her other albums don't have fillers:

Money Honey, Starstruck, Summerboy, Disco Heaven, Swine, Fashion!, Sinners Prayer, Just Another Day Etc.

I don't really get what Monsters mean by BTW specifically having loads of filler :gaycat:

those are not fillers sis

Even GAGA dislike that song. She said that it's the only song she regretted putting on the album. So, bye.

She wrote it tho, which means it's amazing. She didn't put No Way on anything so is that a bad song? So, bye.

I've not backtracked once. Only stated my view points and stood by them.

The only truth in this thread is that BTW is treated as the Holy Grail within this fan base and overrated to the high heavens when in reality it's a loud and scatter-brained attempt at giving a voice to the voiceless, and it single-handedly brought the greatest pop star of this century to her knees.

Now that is a God damned fact.

:toofunny::toofunny::toofunny:

This thread is a MESS. This comment is 100% opinion and just because you really believe it does not mean it's a fact.

Reminds me of a certain US President :reductive:

Also, #StreamTheCure. That's all :lana:

Aren't the best songs off the album usually released as singles? Therefore, if a song has the potential to be a single, it must mean it's been thought it's good enough to release to represent the albums..and the fillers are well, just there..

Even if I don't agree with your likes and stuff about BTW etc, you are completely right.

I love all of her albums and all of her songs except really really few of them (Brow Eyes, Bad Kids, The Queen, JeD, Hey Girl and that's it) but a song that's not meant to be a single or that hasn't even got the potential to be one is a filler. It's like the definition of filler, it's more of a statement rather than an opinion

An album with no filler on it is "Like a Prayer" by Madonna, all the songs are very famous, the singles did great at the time; also 1989 by TS - and I know that for saying this I'm gonna be dragged as hell  - but she released a lot of sigles off of it and it was a succesful album even as a whole.

I absolutely love fillers, like I love every single track of BTW (I'm gonna go listen to GH to make my day better as I finish writing this post) etc, but it's full of fillers. EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD FILLERS, but fillers.

Oh, I forgot: I LOVE long albums. The longer the better for me even if they've got like 50% of fillers or more, I love them. SO GAGZ IF YOU'RE READING PUT 20 TRACKS ON LG6 THANK YOU BYE

And she performed it for the first time on my show because fans asked for it so... yeah :laughga:

I didn't know that  This is the only song in BTW I don't appreciate

Bad Kids is like... a rib for the whole album. The song concept matches perfectly with the album concept. I would say Bad Kids, Hair & BTW are like... the real meaning of BTW rip.

You couldn't be more right :applause:

BTW, Hair and Bad Kids captivate the concept of the album perfectly.

Omg thank you.

Every song on 89 is single worthy. It's a great album, chalk full of potential, which is why it won AOTY.

I never once said fillers are trash, I stated songs considered fillers are some of my favorites, but just because I like them doesn't mean they aren't fillers, and just because BTW is praised doesn't mean it doesn't have fillers.

I've been dragged all over this thread because of that and people who seem to think I'm attacking BTW or calling it bad when in reality I'm just saying it's mostly filler
