I don't think we should ignore that and say everything is going wrong, since there's still clearly potential there. But to be Top 10 on Top Hits and not even Top 50 on US Spotify, to be barely Top 50 on US iTunes, and to have disastrous VEVO streams (which barely come from the US to begin with), we're gonna have to begin worrying about this being a non-event in America. Probably because I'm in the US, but her Super Bowl was so well received, her Coachella performances got so much buzz, so for her weakest numbers to be from the US is.. Really disappointing. Million Reasons sold 1m copies here, it was the best selling single by a woman in awhile!! That's nuts, so you'd think she'd be having an easier time here. (Granted, PI had a lot more against it partly being that the public hated it, but just mean that radio support can go from 100% there to disappearing in a matter of days.) I know what you mean that's why I'm suprised that if she doesn't have time to promote it why her team isn't doing much I mean their doing well with Spotify but everything else is kinda dull the Coachella stuffed died down so there's nothing besides radio helping it at the moment. I just think she need to release the video so it gets on the trending page and hopefully get some sort of YouTube promo and they discount and hot track it the week of its release. If this becomes a hit and stablilizes her streaming prowess, she would be able to release experimental pop music in the future that receives mainstream attention and success. The simple fact of the matter is that streaming is more and more important that ever for the music industry and has been shown to play a bigger role in BB hits than digital sales. Gaga loves success. The release of The Cure is an obvious attempt to break that barrier down and establish herself as a streaming power. That's the whole point on the single, and if anyone is rooting against, well then yikes. Y'all really don't want Gaga's future music releases to succeed. Yea they should of uploaded that the second week of Coachella and even the audio which i understand why they didn't upload it for a while because they wanted Spotify streams but it did hurt her YouTube streams tho because so many unofficial uploads were up for days and got 100s of thousands of views and then when the official audio was uploaded it barely made it on the trending page Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
