Other points are the need to cut gov. spending to eas the burden and help US business compete better, 39% is choking the economic growth imo. Agreed I think 15% is the starting point and it will end up being 20-25%.

I'm gonna need it to pay for my healthcare when the subsidies end. Call your therapist...it's Petie Estie

Throwing money at education doesn't work. My college tuition was only $2200 a semester in NYC and I got a great education due to my own hard work. As for health care, we also outspend there too. What we need are reforms in systems, not more money. Yep...control spending..that means pubs too, and wasteful military crappppp like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. Obama wasn't doing anything to increase the deficit, just not doing anything that made it smaller either. A small deficit (0-2%) is okay. A big deficit (4%+) in times of economic growth puts you in a situation like Japan in the long term, but with way higher interest rates. Now is not the time for stimulus or huge tax cuts this will cause a consumption bubble. I mean, I'm generally okay with small corporate tax cuts (e.g. towards 30%), but that would've been a good idea around 2012 or so, not now. Adding trillions to the debt right now isn't a great idea. A better idea right now would be to raise taxes, actually. I get that Republicans are ideologically opposed to that, so they should cut spending.
