Well I mean it was the closest to being conceptual. Album alone is conceptual but era isn't that much I think. When I think of conceptual album and era I think of Marina And The Diamonds Electra Heart.

Yeah, the album is conceptual but the era doesn't. Btw, it would be hard to keep it conceptual and interesting for the GP while she maintain her fame at the same time

This song takes a whole another meaning now that we know that she has been raped. :gum:

I was thinking about this last week when I heard she used Monster and Swine in the intro for Coachella

I used to hear "snails in our ass cause we're having a good time" and "get your balls right off of me" in Monster so don't worry about it.

Can someone like make a super deep thread about the meaning of Monster and connect it with Swine? :gum:

I'm pretty sure Wikipedia has a description about what every song off the album means. I don't think I'll check it now and Wikipedia isn't an official source, but there is an article for every song and what it is supposed to be :hor:

EDIT: some of them, I decided to look through them and I think only the non-singles got the treatment :toofunny:

Wasn't Sexxx Dreams related to that theme too? With all the "heard your boyfriend was away this weekend, wanna meet at my place?" stuff. I am not sure about that, it has been a long time since I heard about that :emma:

I feel DITD is more about fear of judgement rather than fear of insecurity. It's about being worried of what others think of you, therefore you become insecure

"On my re-release The Fame Monster, I wrote about everything I didn't write on The Fame. While traveling the world for two years, I've encountered several monsters, each represented by a different song on the new record: my 'Fear of Sex Monster,' my 'Fear of Alcohol Monster,' my 'Fear of Love Monster,' my 'Fear of Death Monster,' my 'Fear of Loneliness Monster,' etc." "I spent a lot of nights in Eastern Europe, and this album is a pop experimentation with industrial/Goth beats, 90's dance melodies, an obsession with the lyrical genius of 80's melancholic pop, and the runway. I wrote while watching muted fashion shows and I am compelled to say my music was scored for them."

Where's our tour date then?

Why would Sexxx Dreams be related to songs about a boy being a monster and a pig?

Okay, so ladies and gentlemen I wanted to ask you about The Fame Monster album and which fear every song represents.

Bad Romance = fear of love

Alejandro = It's supposed to be fear of men but I also thought it's a fear of god

Monster = fear of sex

Speechless = fear of death, very clear from lyrics

Dance In The Dark = hmm supposedly fear of judgement, but I also thought it could be fear of sex, fear of insecurity

Telephone = fear of suffocation

So Happy I Could Die = fear of alcohol monster, but isn't it also a fear of loneliness?

Teeth = fear of truth

So what's the truth? Do you have any ideas about that matter? Did Gaga explain it herself?

If Bloody Mary (which was rumoured to be a TFM track before its release on BTW) was on the album, I wonder what fear it'd have been :huh:

Fear of loneliness or fear of death?

Or fear of facing reality?
