I took MR as an example on purpose, because the good sis had solid digital sales (platinum!) and yet couldn't manage to have a truly solid run on the Hot 100 because of its terrible streaming (apart from the post-Super Bowl week).

Which proves digital sales don't really matter anymore for chart performance, sadly.

Let's put it this way: it's the first time ever Gaga manages to grow steadily on streaming. She cracked the top 50 in the US and WW today and passed 10.3m streams in 6 days.

She still has a long way to go to become a streaming monster like Rihanna, but for her it's already a great improvement in the right direction.
