Not when Perfect Illusion existed about 6 months ago, but died mid battle because she herself was a perfect illusion and never existed in the first place.

Can everyone please let the good sis ARTPOP lay to rest? It's really annoying that it's Gaga's new landmark. A poorly received and marketed album DOES NOT define what Gaga is about.

Pink flamingos always fascinated me.

ARTPOP was #1 and sold more copies than Joanne.

So... It's not really a comeback since she never left.

Guys just keep in mind that ARTPOP sold 770,000 but it was released in a more healthy period for album sales! Joanne with the tour etc I can see it pass 600,000 until early next year so it is indeed a more successful album!

Definitely not. Sales climate is different. ARTPOP underperformed, Joanne did not.

I'd say in the US and the UK Jonne did better, but in most other parts of the world ARTPOP was more successful.

The singles of ARTPOP did a lot better everywhere tho, so overall the ARTPOP era was a bigger success

USA isn't the only country in the world sis. ARTPOP sold 2.5M WW. And the Joanne era didn't exist in the most parts of the world, whereas ARTPOP had two global hits. ARTPOP is superioir

No one except monsters remembers it though.

Which is more important overall.

And do you think more people will remember the Joanne era except for monsters? :sure:

No but they will remember the super bowl.

And hopefully The Cure.

Forbes wasn't trying to say Joanne is a massive success and ARTPOP is the biggest flop this century. They are talking about the era's in general. And in that case, they are right. Gaga has done tremendous image building over the past few years and people are starting to get into her again. As fans who have been here through the whole thing (hopefully), we need to take a step back to see what Gaga's impact has really been over the past few years. We can't view it from our perspective if we want to get the full picture.

Well thats true. Her image has changed so much since ARTPOP. And yeah people will remember the Superbowl even though it wasnt too Joann-ish (luckily) :gaycat:
