Does everyone hate Joanne all of a sudden?

"All the sudden" not me. I never really liked it. Happy for its success. I listened to the album twice at most except for PI which I do love. MR wasn't my cup of tea.

Joanne is an amazing album. I feel she made that album for herself and now she's this for the fans. Idk I'm gonna be here whether she releases a gospel album so... lol :kara:

i think u freaky but you don't have a hit

Don't let the all-of-a-sudden-haters ruin your experience of Joanne. Joanne was, is and always will be a beautiful album.

The Cure sounds more like what majority of the fans wanted from Gaga. I kind of feel like everyone is relieved from carrying the burden of fake-liking and half-heartedly supporting Joanne just because we want Gaga to be happy but deep inside know exactly that Joanne is not gonna do Gaga's career any good.

So now it's like a party for most of us finally receiving something with actual smash-potential and radio friendly. Also loved by the GP.

I have loved Joanne from the start (although PI disappointed me). The Cure only makes me love it more, because it shows how a mainstream pop album could have been. If she made an album of this tropical-sounding music, I might actually have skipped the tour. Lady Gaga was mainstream at one point, but she defined the mainstream in 2008. With The Cure she just seems to be following the trend. Besides, the tropical-sounding mainstream now is so incredibly boring, IMO. Even Gaga can't make it sound good, in my ears.

Curious how both BTW and ARTPOP were disliked at first, but later applauded and remembered by her fans. With Joanne, the first reactions were amazing, and with time underappreciated.

Joanne has never been my favourite album. And everyone was so eager for POP that "The Cure" truly healed them. Even though both works are among her worst :reductive:

I'm not saying I dislike Joanne

but I am saying that I've listened to The Cure more times in the past 36hrs than any song on Joanne since it's release back in October.

Deduce from that what ü will :hor:

Totally agree. I don't know what are they thinking. Are they really a true little monster? Be fair to Joanne. Joanne is a great album due to everyone agrees with that. Don't forget that how we appreciated MR and made radio request. And most of them said that Gaga is back. Actually, GAGA has always been GAGA. She is always her who always like to make distinctive sound from album to album. The Cure is an awesome record too. We better differentiate her project and take the time to appreciate her versatility, as well as enjoy the music she has made for us.

Joanne is the rebound you're dating waiting for your ex to come back around. Cute enough to get my fix, but not what I ultimately want.

I don't get it tbh.

Joanne is a fantastic album.

I think it seems that way because The Cure brought out the anti-Joanners that's all :laughga:

I honestly don't get the hype on The Cure. Great song (yes it's generic but a BOP), but the hypocrisy is killing me (i.e. Zedd,Chainsmokers etc. = trash. Gaga releases The Cure = best pop song of all time. Hypocritical ****s).

I love Joanne so much and it's probably my favorite Gaga album as a whole (besides TFM). I don't get all the excitement with JW, DH, and DIC. For me, the standouts were when she flirted with genres like in Come to Mama, Just Another Day, & Sinner's Prayer. Hey Girl is really cool, too.

That being said, I've played The Cure a billion fkn times and it's grown on me immensely.
