I don't care where her career takes us. I'll be here whether she sells a million records or not. I don't effing care about numbers. I guess we have different perspectives on what success means and what we consider a successful career. Of course she's not gonna be the same. Who is the same after five years? What I meant by just saying no is that I don't agree that she won't be brilliantly successful and not agreeing with you is fine I guess.

Thank you for making a point. I'll just stick with my point of view.

Usually when people mention success in these threads, they mean incredible popularity, or charts success, either of which Gaga is gettings. Which what i assumed since you quoted me.

I assumed that because very few people would come to this thread to defend Gaga not achieving personal success.

This thread is not about her personal success, but her charting and popularity. That is what I was talking about. She's never going to be successful in that area again.

Please take in the context of the main post before you go around quoting people.

Well her last 'big' thing on that platform was Bad Romance.

What do you think guys, since she's a very bad streaming artist, and her music videos barely get any attention, should she quit Vevo, and stop releasing music videos? Her label should focus more on Spotify, and instead of throwing money for high budget music videos, they should use them to buy placement on the most popular Spotify Playlists.

Frank Ocean did the same thing, and his streams on Spotify are decent.

wth

This is literally the most ridiculous thing I've ever read on this site. Like is this a late April fool's joke :awkney:

Just cause her videos aren't getting massive views doesn't mean she should suddenly stop releasing them. Mess. :bye:

Gaga just needs to pull it together with her visuals and she will at least get 150M views per. Now the reason she is struggling so much is because of a series of bad mv's and a lack of mvs which ruined her streaming base. You need to win them back with a series of good mvs (not 2 bad mvs and one ok one etc..you need a SERIES of good mvs one after another) and then things could change in time.

But I see what you mean tbh. Her team should also invest on good spotify placements. Having her lead single PI on TTH for less then a week (6 days) and having MR not on TTH at all is a big big NO NO.

don't blame this on VEVO, the last decent mv she made was in the ARTPOP era and we all know what happened that time :duck:

look at kylie's videos

they only unfortunately have 200k-50m

and Madonna's she only has 2 vevo certified videos

Gaga has plenty and MR has 50M+ and PI has 80M+

so no

Welcome to GagaDaily, it looks like things just got messgendary.

I don't think she should follow a Frank Ocean formula. He has a much different fanbase which operates much differently than Little Monsters. Gaga is a legacy artist, so even if something doesn't translate into the most streams or views at the moment, what's more important is how the career move affects and continues to illustrate her ongoing artistic pop-culture legacy. Quitting Vevo would be a messy move. Adding new alternative ways to distribute content would be a better idea, I think.

I agree with the Spotify playlist idea, but I don't think it will diminish her video quality. I think they need to convince Interscope to put more money into promoting her. (Which seems like that's already somewhat going into effect considering the success of the Super Bowl, and the fact that Joanne did better than expected.)

Gaga will never have the peak and success she had in TFM and BTW era. Everything happened so quickly. It's a hard pillow to swallow but we should just accept it and move on. Gaga is still a big household name. Joanne is doing fine. Ya'll are acting like she's doing mandy moore/jessica simpson numbers or filming commercials for Oreo. Yes her streaming numbers aren't good but overall she still has mass appeal and most importantly still has an immensely loyal large fan base which is why she can still tour arenas and stadiums.

Gaga is not a fad like some of you secretly try to claim. A fad is someone like Eiffel 65 with their Blue song back in 1998 or Pokemon Go. Gaga is a highly respected musician in the industry. We should be happy she takes risks and glad she's is the most creatively free pop girl in the pop world. A lot of pop girls are label puppets and have no say in their work. Gaga is still restricted and caged but she has way more control with her career than her peers. We should be proud of that.

I'm all for critiquing Gaga when it comes to her WORK but when it comes to her success it's ridiculous to critique since she's still successful and has upcoming soldout arena and stadium shows even without the help of scalpers.
