This is where I am at... 

Human contribution to the global climate  still isn't fully understood.  

Its obvious that carbon dioxide and methane are two key contributors that humans produce in quantity.  

Exactly how much and what impact it is having or gonna have on the 'globe' however still is uncertain imo.  

Reducing and adapting to energy(food) sources that minimize these types of emission makes perfect sense to me too.

Well, it's simple, and people do not want to own up and take responsibility: once every 40.000-100.000 glacial periods and interglacial periods rotate. This time around this warming up period was sped up by human activity. We definitely are the lethal accelerator to climate change. If people can't see that, I've got some tea to spill:

Ever since the industrial revolution in the 18th century, greenhouse gasses from both industry, transport, energy production and agriculture, a significant larger human population on earth needing food, due deforestation (which releases a lot of CO2 previously held by trees and plants), due the hunt on several whale species (which are part of the plankton cycle in the seas which provide 70% of our oxygen), due to desertification (because we don't allow cattle to roam freely, since their excretion makes soil fertile and allows desertified areas to become green again, which in turn soaks up CO2 from the atmosphere: TEDTalk about this issue:

), due to the thawing of the permafrost (which releases methane gas), we **** up our climate...

Due to the overconsumption of meat, a lot of water is wasted, a lot of methane is produced, and a lot of acres of land is needed, which otherwise could be efficiently used for crops and other grown foods for humans...

There are a lot of factors contributing to speeding up to warming up in this interglacial period, caused by humans... period.

What is going to happen because of this accelerated global warming is:

Seas are going to be more acidic due to it soaking up more CO2, which will cause a mass extinction of sea life as we know it. Coral reefs will calcify, which will disrupt the majority if not the entire sealife foodchain. O2 levels will decrease in the seas, which will not be a benefactor to sea life either, there has to be an equilibrium. 

Phytoplankton which is the major contributor to our breathable air will be endangered due to the acidification of the oceans, what exactly will happen is still speculated but it ain't good.

Also at the rate of the expansion humankind is multiplying, our resources will run out (water, food, breathable air), which we will try to desperately get a hold of these resources for the sake of our economies. At the rate this is going there is a good chance by the next century majority of humankind could die out as nature's way to equalize the ecosystem...think diseases, shortage of resources like water and food, think wars due to climate change (think the Syria crisis, which was mainly caused due to desertification and overgrazing of the land, which in turned caused a lot of other problems). 

There is a good chance more geopolitical problems will arise in the next 50-80 years due to climate change, people from the pacific islands, people from countries around the equator will probably migrate north due to areas becoming inhabitable desertlands. So more wars are on the way, and possibly big wars/world wars.

Also, sea levels will rise if we don't stop using fossil fuels asap, the north-pole barely has permanent ice left in the summer, everything there is adrift to open sea. Before long big sheets of ice will melt on Antarctica, which is the largest storage of fresh water in the world since it holds 70% of world's fresh water. If that ice sheet melt, the entire ocean level will rise to 70 meters/230 feet. Well think about the climate change refugees it could spawn, people currently living in river deltas (Bangladesh, northern Egypt, parts of the Amazon, The Netherlands, the Mississippi delta) will be forced to move elsewhere..and we are seeing how the world reacts to climate refugees...

The thing is no one cares because it won't affect us seriously until we're dead.

But the next generation, and generation after that will suffer because of our apathetic attitudes. The thing is individually there's only so much that can be done, governments around the world need to take real and serious steps to ensuring we have something to give the generations of tomorrow.

Unfortunately that won't happen. So hopefully they work out colonizing Mars and the Moon soon, coz we're gonna need Noah's Ark 2.0

i agree with everything else you said but we have enough breathable air to last us millions of years so that really isn't an issue

Volcanic eruptions, meteor strikes.  And a some other unexplained ecological disasters 'have' occured in the past.  Add magnetic polar reversal and you have huge 'rapid' climate changing events that have shaped the world we current inhabit...Before human evolution/creation...

I can't relate to the doomsday scenario's that many climate alarmists are proposing either.  Many computer models have been proven to be programmed to give a final result they wanted regardless of input. 

Also, its been 150 plus years of human's industrial pollution pouring into the atmosphere that's created the impact we are seeing today.  

Simply cutting off all industry won't change anything overnite other than causing mass human deaths...

I think that climate scientists need more evidence and historical data before they can make accurate predictions regarding the future of the global weather...

Reduce pollution, use renewable energy to power the economy and do it in a way that makes sense its my take here.
