Morphine Prince 109,671
Nunes just apologized for his behavior. He needs to be removed now. He is biased. The investigation is being compromised.

The investigation is being compromised. The whole government is compromised at this point. Everyday we continue to see Trump surrogates or past campaign chairs/members/etc coming out to having either some type of involvement with Russia or working with an investigating dealing with Trump (aka their boss/friend/savior). Whether anything was actually done wrong by Trump, his admin, or friends, nobody can say that any of this is precedent or ethically right.

Because there's a difference between illegal spying and getting warrant to check up on threats to national security and/or wrongdoing that is not beneficial to the country. The fact is that it's quite humorous to have a Presdient make such allegations when he's the King of ranting about "fake news" (which is at most just CNN reporting allegations regarding Trump). So no, this isn't just a matter of spying.
MJHolland 12,725
The title of this thread is beyond misleading and has firmly entered the realm of being categorically false. 19 hours ago, Gaga Monster said: Remember when Liberals said it was a 'conspiracy theory' Remember when Trump said Obama wiretapped him? Oh yeah that part is still false. Lmao. Trump associates and possible Trump himself has data collected on them incidentally. Incidental, defintion: "accompanying but not a major part of something." Not only does this not validate in any way what Trump said, but Nunes also likely broke the law by publicly talking about FISA warrants and courts, and he betrayed the duty and basic ethics as Intel Chairman by going straight to the President, who is the SUBJECT of his investigation, to tell him (again, the SUBJECT of his investigation...) of a new finding. That is why Nunes is apologizing this morning and facing calls to step down as Chair by dems AND republican Senators and Reps (including ranking member John McCain). So yes, it is still a conspiracy theory and there is still no evidence know by the ENTIRE justice department to show that Obama has Trump wiretapped, especially for reasons outside of the ongoing Russian-Trump collusion investigation that has been going on since July 2016. Spoiler And on that topic, I find it very funny that Comey didn't think to inform the public on that investigation, yet jumped to notify the public on any Clinton investigation updates, including the stupid Anthony Weiner update/"re-opening". Shady...

The Intel Chief has just confirmed that Intelligence Agencies collected and spied on The Trump Team. The Intel Chief said that this was extremely inappropriate to do and that Trump was briefed on the matter. Nunes said the monitored material was “widely disseminated” in intelligence reports. Technically, Obama would of had to authorize it, or if someone under his command authorized it, it is still his fault. http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2017/03/22/house-intel-committee-chief-confirms-post-election-surveillance-of-trump-team/ Did you not hear Comey say on Monday that "no president would have been able to authorize such actions"? Shady... Didn't the issue with Comey and Clinton revolve around that Clinton's investigation was ongoing and that the Russian stuff wasn't publicly investigated? Or something like that. I could be incorrect but I thought I heard someone say that there was a reason why the two investigations were handled differently. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Or something like that. I could be incorrect but I thought I heard someone say that there was a reason why the two investigations were handled differently. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Comey was cleeeaarly acting in a partisan way. When Comey addressed Congress this week about Trump, he took it on himself to ask the ENTIRE justice department if there was any evidence to show wrongdoing, and he even said he obtained the permission from each head of each sub-department (like DHS) to speak on their behalf. Did he grant this courtesy to Clinton? Noooope. Instead he painted a picture of "there is no way to know" and offered his own personal opinion to say she acted recklessly. Comey did not issue the same "reckless" comments about a sitting President making criminal accusations without any evidence existing in the entire knowledge of the justice department. Furthermore, after the investigation was closed and it was announced that no charges would be filled against Clinton, Comey to it upon himself to write a letter to congress, an unprecedented act which many (including Schumer) thought to be illegal, to inform them that because of new evidence that the investigation was reopened. What he failed to mention was that the only reason the investigation was being "reopened" was because they needed to technically insert the Anthony Weiner BS into the file and then the investigation was immediately re-closed. Snowden blew the whistle on secret, not necessarily illegal, surveillance under FISA courts, which are in fact illegal to talk about. Nunes has broken the exact same law as Snowden in talking about these secret courts/warrants. I see any type of surveillance as a lack of transparency in the government and therefore I don't trust them and believe that it would be possible to have spied on Trump, bc they can clearly do it to anybody they want. but because of how corrupt they are, I wouldn't be outraged even if they did.
