And it's ironic that you accuse A-YO performances out of all to be always the same, when Gaga has already given great variety in her performances already (Victoria's Secret: Full Choreo, Dive Bar: Playing actual instruments, SNL: just rocking out Freestyle) Also it confuses me that you claim you don't buy this from Gaga and implied that "this is not Gaga at all" when you mentioned in the same sentence that Gaga is incredibly energetic and happy while performing it. I don't know about you, but I'm the happiest when I can just let loose and not pretend like I'm somebody else. But we can reach a deal, they can just make DiC the single, I'll be enjoying my cuppa tea while y'all meltdown over the Gee Pee not reacting to the song, y'all getting disappointed by the video again because she visually went somewhere completely else than you wanted and this becoming the the commercial low point of Gaga's career. And if it actually becomes a hit, I'll just be happy that my fave proved me wrong and is powerful enough to make an awful song a hit single. Not at all. He's got many good points incl stans wanting her to go into a specific direction and being disappointed when she's not doing it. Also, DIC, as a great song as it is, is not exactly the best possible single material on Joanne due to the reasons he desrcibed and the lyrics that are on the edge for the radio. It would be a huge difference from MR, which already struggled to get played on the radio and now to have a song about touching and rubbing and going in circles during the night. Anyway, I think if there is a new single it's really not coming earlier than in May. MR is still charting in the US. WW it's dead but they will not abandon the song. Maybe MR struggled on Radio because it was not what Radio wanted from her. They always knew and played her Dance-Pop stuff and she was not known for ballads, especially not country-influenced pop ballads. And since DIC is the closest to her previous stuff I can understand why many people could see it as a potential single. Because she had the most success with this music-genre. I am already so bored of the excuses that DIC is too weird for Radio. Yes it could be a risk, but MR was also one with releasing a country-influenced ballad and it almost didn't pay off.
