So did anyone see it on Lifetime this weekend & if so, what did you think?

I personally thought it was a hot mess, but at the same time very insightful.  Especially to a Non-Britney fan like myself.  :giggle:

The Britney stans I follow on Twitter all HATED it lol, mostly complained that they didn't show her accomplishments since the breakdown, that some of the characters didn't look at all like the original persons (Fe, Jamie who didn't grow up at all during all the years shown in the movie)... And I've seen people saying that the person who made this movie hates women so... Pretty bad tbh

Oh my God. Where do I even start? Lol. Well for starters, almost everyone casted looked nothing like the original people, they also didn't even try to get some of her iconic outfits to look like the originals. They didn't get the rights to her songs, so the girl playing Britney could only sing the songs Britney covered over the years. Which makes no sense to me. The girl could also not dance to save her life. And they did a lot of slow motion to look like she was doing more than she actually was. I felt like they also jumped all over the place with little to no explanation of what was going on unless you were a Britney fan or heard about it on the news (where her kids went, who the controlling guy was hanging around her when she was having her breakdown, what was going on in the first place during 2007). I felt like they spent soooo much time going over the whole Justin relationship in the early days and her breakdown that there was very little talked about when she came back. It was kind of like, yeah I'm in the hospital because I'm going crazy and then like two minutes later she was winning awards for Piece of Me and in Vegas getting praised. Overall,  I thought the movie could have had so much potential to be such a great story and Lifetime screwed it up badly. It wasn't executed well at all and it sucks that even without Britney and her team's permission, Lifetime still went ahead with the film.

Exactly!!!  The fact that they couldn't use ANY of her music, should have been enough to scrap the movie IMO!  That & the horrible girl they got to play her + the horrible performance scenes!!!  :smh: :toofunny::toofunny::toofunny:
