Remember what happened with G.U.Y:usrs:

Stop using G.U.Y. as an example guys :saladga:

We aren't in the same situation, and we are talking about REALLY different songs.

It's such a stupid argument. Just because it's a fan-favourite doesn't mean it will automatically flop. I mean, Bad Romance is a fan favourite of TFM, right?

18 spins from Z100, and around 1 hour left. This is the most that we've got in a day, i think.

Slay.

The thing here is: both A-YO and DIC have the potential. But A-YO potential is gone, they can't see that it was promoted and people gave 0 ****s about it. This is being a fun era so far but now half of the fanbase wants to go back? to a song that was performed three times? + they're going to release a music video that you won't even need to watch to know how it's going to be :sharon:

But I'm happy for A-YO fans I guess? Give them that small US hit and not a worldwide smash that could fire Gaga's streaming.

Spoiler

I was here for A-YO being the 2nd single and I don't support it anymore, people in this fanbase is so attached to the past :saladga:

Yes, but this is in retrospect after BR became a smash hit. It was never a guarantee, BR was so experimental and different for its time. Gaga just got lucky for it to have become a hit. Which is why some people are using some caution and want Gaga to go with the safer choice given her position with radio and streaming rn. In terms of getting a hit A-YO is the best shot.

Not to mention A-YO is a serious bop and deserves to have the chance to become a hit. If it folps then it flops, but any single Gaga releases at this point is likely to flop given her relationship with radio and only average streams and this is just a fact.

DIC is NOT the savior for Gaga's radio and streaming relationship, no matter how deluded some of you are. Same goes for A-YO or any other song on Joanne. That doesn't make them or the album any less though, they are amazing. It's just the industry which sucks tbh.

Exactly. I remembered that my country even played A-YO on the radio for a while. Nobody gave two sh!ts either. The sound is not even trend anymore and for it to be a hit there has to be a big momentum of hype from the last single.

Except that A-YO is not a safe choice because it's sound is not trendy anymore! Sure, it has the basic pop structure, but even that has fallen out fashion a little as youngsters have shifted to a more EDM type of structure, which explains why The Chainsmokers can become a hit act for the past year. It won't become a hit just because it's a 'bop'. It needs to have that 'sound'.

Guys, we don't even know what her plans for the next singles are. :poot: Stop fighting, at least wait for a confirmation.

MR is doing great and that's what we should focus on.

(watch Just Another Day be the next single though)

I take your point, but by that logic, she shouldn't release any next single because none of the songs have that "sound" or are trendy.

That killer chorus in A-YO and the response most people have when hearing it (bopping out and moving without conscious intent) is indicative of a hit. Not a guarantee obvs, but a chance and more of one than any of the other songs.

stir the pot

A-YO is clearly the third single, I mean why on Earth would she change her pic into the cover of A-yo? Our stubborn sis Gaga just doesn't want to let this song go.

I'm here for it, I guess. :poot:
