I don't think it's that easy because other countries in Southeast Asia have our own problems, too. We cannot just welcome that many people from another country.

And not to mention, their reputation is really bad. I've been told many times, even by the media, that they don't work and only want to reproduce. That's what other people around here think of them and that's why they've been moved back and forth many times.

Real Buddhists only exist in India and Nepal imo. I can't even tell you how pretentious people in my country trying to look all good and shet by doing something to show other people what a good follower they are when everything they do is in Hinduism, not Buddhism. Buddhism doesn't teach you to be shallow, but people literally flip out when they see a Buddha image being put on the ground or used as a decoration.

It's just very problematic then  can't a country like Qatar or Saudi Arabia use them as 'labour' instead of Nepalis and Bengalis? I can imagine if they'd get their own state it would become a failed state like South Sudan, and it would infuriate the Buddhist population of Myanmar. Bangladesh is terribly overpopulated and will get its own refugee crisis sooner or later (climate change), Indonesia is overpopulated too but there's some place here and there. Anyways they'd face discrimination in any country, but probably not as badly as in Myanmar right now.

I guess this is why there's no intervention from outside forces... it's a sightless situation :(

Observation: Burma only started persecuting the Rohingya Muslims when it (Burma) became buddies with Obama, around 2010.

Is that true? does it not have anything to do with the democratization process in Myanmar? I don't know much but independent media was almost non-existent, making it difficult for news about ethnic cleansing to find its way to the outside world. There were already refugees on boats to South-East-Asian countries before 2010, too. I honestly doubt Obama has anything to do with this.
