I dont think she will call out the trump administration directly, but i think she will make a generic statement about the current state of the world

i think she's also smart enough to know that naming trump will just give him the attention he wants. She won't call out trump or the administration by name but she can talk about the importance of inclusiveness, of loving everyone equally, coming together and protecting eachother.

It's logic programmed into us by society to prevent change.

Yep, we're taught to be either compliant or apathetic. Imagine the changes people brought about in the past and how much more people could do with how connected we are now with social media etc. They're scared of collective mass

The one good thing about Trump is that he has brought enough anger that people aren't staying silent anymore, I think in the next four years people the collective mass will come together against him.

I don't get the appeal of the song and I honestly don't understand why this fanbase want her to perform it so bad, she can make an statement without the song if that is what they want. I just hope it does not take the place of one of her actually good and iconic songs.

But Born This Way was like her last #1...and the longest one with 6 weeks...

It's probably, in chart wise, her biggest hit. But in popularity\sales then we have Bad Romance\Poker Face. Taking Born this way off to sing something like "Paparazzi" would sound even disrespectful for the whole year of 2011 and for the things she fought for. And also, it's easir to do a statement just sing your #1 hit single that casually has a bridge talking about the whole LGBTQ than wasting some time doing a speech or anything:gaycat:

I made a mistake, I wanted to say 'good or iconic', and while I do agree that BTW is iconic and her last #1, it's not that good, and it would be tragic is for example she ditches Just Dance(even more iconic) to sing it, and she can pay homage to the BTW era singing her best single out of the entire era TEOG and the loved You and I(better songs).

Monsters never die.

Monsterish

If she's bringing back that aesthetic and attitude of TFM - BTW, then yes I want a political statement moment in the show :firega: If she doesn't then I'll be a little bit disappointed :sure:

Protest? no but I'm positive her performance will have a message of unity, something that hints at the fact that America needs to embrace everyone because we're one big family and we were born this way™

Coldplay did something similar and it was amazing; even though their performance wasn't that great the message was still beautiful

Yes definitely! The protests are amazing, I'm glad such an ass is reminding people they don't have to just sit and take things, he has to fight against democracy every day.
