My favorite songs getting the recognition they deserve :firega:

As far as substance goes, I'd say the three songs mentioned already would be tied as the "darkest" - Dope, Swine, and Princess Die. You can't get much darker than depression and detachment due to drug addiction, anger and pain due to sexual assault, and literal suicide/death from fame.

But yeah, production wise, Bloody Mary tops them all :music:

Thank you!!!!! Someone finally agrees with me that Dope is quite dark. It's actually really dark if you think about it. As a former Coke/heroin addict, I know what it's like to need that next fix so freakin bad that literally nothing else matters. It was like the drugs became my friend. They never yelled at me like my grandma did. They didn't abandon me like my mom did. I know that's so sick but it's true. I'm so glad that gaga chose her monsters over dope

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

Spoiler

Wish You Were Here

Words

Rockshow

Oh Well

Let Love Down

Fooled Me Again

Earthquake

No Way

Speechless

So Happy I Could Die

Monster

Dance in the Dark

Princess Die

Living on the Radio

Bloody Mary

Swine

Dope

Til It Happens to You

Angel Down

I think her darkest songs are So Happy I Could Die, Speechless, Princess Die, and Til It Happens To You.

So Happy I Could Die is actually really heavy when you consider it's a song about not caring if you  overdose and die. Taking too many drugs/drinking too much to cope with your issues and not caring if you go too far.

Speechless because she's imagining her life without her dad. Heartbroken at his drunken state, seeing him choose to let himself die instead of giving up alcohol and getting surgery to stay healthy. Really sad.

Princess Die because even though she's a successful, powerful figure, she struggles with insecurity and depression. It's like being in her head as the darkness takes over and she's trying to stay grateful for her success and life. You feel her struggling with suicide.

Til It Happens To You for obvious reasons.

Thematically Dope

Production wise, Bloody Mary

Or if we're including unreleased: Princess Die, thematically. A whole song about suicidal thoughts and being alone with noone to help. The opening lyric is "leave the coffin open when I go"

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Green Detox

Bloody Mary totally, like those people who hates cannot handle horror movies would automatically turn off that song after that creepy intro, like me:toofunny:(but it's a gaga song so it's not that creepy for me)
