The system is still so broken and we have so far to go and it feels like we are taking steps backwards It's like were on a long staircase. So many people in this country are at the top, and they've been there so long they think everyone else has already made it or is close, but really half of the country is constantly going up and down it with no foreseeable end in sight and the people at the top don't realize that things won't be truly better until they are better for everyone. Its infuriating and depressing all at the same time Spoiler (Yes, that was a loosely veiled privilege metaphor, but I didn't mean it as simply as "white male" at the top or anything, its multifaceted) Personally, I know Obama said after his term is over that he is going to be more openly critical and vocal of things and I am looking forward to him (after his well deserved break) to become a savage and remain a voice of reason in this country. Bring on his Podcast tbh. That's what the GOP controlled congress wants anyway. They can't control him, but Pence is a straight edge regressive so they'll be secretly plotting Trump's downfall.
