Genuinely sickening that Obama has to share a ride with Trump, a man who for years perpetrated a racist myth that he was born in Kenya, to his inauguration where this racist man will replace him as president. I mean, does that not make you actually feel ill? Trump was the leader of a racist conspiracy movement that tried to claim Obama was an illegitimate president by saying he was born outside of the U.S and now Obama has to ride with this man to his inauguration. Obama is putting the nation first. He is a man of honor and dignity. Trump has yet to realize that anything is more important or bigger than himself. He isn't capable of the simple concept that every other President has understood- The job is bigger than yourself! The American people come first now, before yourself. The campaign is over. It is now time to become the President of all the citizens, even those that don't agree with you or didn't vote for you. His narcissism and sociopathy stand in the way of understanding simple concepts that the majority of people feel and understand.

I can only imagine how profoundly sad this is, deep down, for Obama. He's amazing at keeping hope and optimism in his rhetoric for the American public, but I suspect deep down, he's extremely troubled by how things have turned out. No doubt, I mean - It's the same feeling I had when Hillary, the first female presidential candidate from a political party, was forced to call Trump and concede the election to him. To a man who once ran Miss Universe contests... Who rates women on a scale of 1-10 and who talks about grabbing women by their genitals. It's sickening. Now Obama, the first African American president, has to ride to the white house with a man who spread racist conspiracies about him and smile as this man replaces him as POTUS. There are things I really disagree with Hillary and Obama about - but at the very least they carry themselves with respect, are absolutely professional and have worked for the American people. It's the thought of these people having to almost bow their heads and concede to a man who is clearly a racist and sexist that's sickening. The fact that they have to show respect to a man who has deeply disrespected them and so many Americans.

His destination is Palm Springs, Calif. Oh man, can you imagine how that feels? What kind of thoughts would Obama have during his flight? What will the staff think of, saying their last goodbyes? I can imagine Obama sitting in his airplane seat, and after takeoff, he lets go of a big sigh he's been holding for 8 years. It's the end of his era. It would be hard for him....8 years of work for nothing another shot before we kiss the other side

Obama is absolutely doing the right thing, but the fact that he is so honorable and dignified is what makes this so sickening. It feels like such an indignity for Obama, the first black president, to have to share a ride with this narcissistic racist. It feels sickening for such a dignified man to have to share a ride with a racist who spread these nasty conspiracy theories and watch Trump replace him. From Hillary having to concede to this sexist, to Obama having to shake his hand and smile, to Obama having to ride with him and watch this man get inaugurated.... It all feels like one more punch to the gut.
Morphine Prince 109,683
Before this election I kinda got upset when people from other countries made fun of the US or were highly critical.... because you know, no one likes their country to be insulted etc. But no more. This election proved it all to be right. I've been a critic of the US for some years myself but the election of this man put the final nail in the coffin.
