Because Premiums went up 50-60% in most states. We don't want it anymore, too expensive.

Trumps plan is going to immediately ensure anyone who had Obamacare

The percentage you stated was for seven states, not most states. That was before the advance premium tax credits, or subsidies, that would reduce the cost for many people.

Trump doesn't have a plan. He doesn't have one ready to immediately take effect. His plan will cost just as much as the ACA, if he offers coverage to those with preexisting conditions.

$800????

One person? Where do y'all live?

That's like twice what my FAMILY  pays for :wtf:

800 dollars is the cheapest plan he qualifies for, im not kidding

He works two jobs, about to start his third, just to get by with all the taxes and Obamacare he's having to pay in Maryland. He barely make's 60k and he went to an Ivy League school. Times are tough out there and there are a lot of people in the middle class that are being crushed by Obamacare.

My family is pretty well off but I know that under Obamacare plans, the cost to insure our family has more than doubled. Both my parents are fairly wealthy and even they are struggling to put my youngest sibling through college because of new massive taxes such as Obamacare (which is singlehandedly the largest tax hike is US history, btw)

Im not a healthcare expert, but it needs massive reform and most Americans think so.

The fact of the matter is, is that if you don't have subsidized Obamacare, it is breaking the banks of so many people.

The only reason that healthcare costs ok average seem low is because middle and upper class people are paying for lower/lower middle class people to have insurance. But guess what, middle and even upper middle class families can't afford that.

Subsidies are not the answer to our healthcare crisis. We need to fundamentally look at what is driving costs up so we can actually drive real economic equilibriums down and not just foot the bill into someone else.

For instance, when is the last time you shopped around for the best flu shot price? Or some research on what doctors perscribe antibiotics the cheapest? 95% of Americans never do this because of insurance. In economics we all that a moral hazard. We need to address fundamental causes of high health insurance cost and not just push the prices onto a struggling middle class, which is essentially all it does.

No, most of these people were working and needed the option for affordable healthcare. What does having "too many kids" have to do with anything? The ACA was for people who worked, not for those on welfare. You are completely confusing two issues here! Who doesn't get taxed? Those under the poverty line? Of course they don't.

Your line of reasoning here doesn't have anything to do with those who needed affordable healthcare and benefited from the ACA.

46.4% of all US households pay zero in federal income tax.

You can't have a functioning single payer-esque healthcare system when half of your population just doesn't pay taxes (besides state taxes).

Actually, you can't have a functioning anything if half of voters don't pay taxes. Like what skin is it off their noses to raise taxes and increase their transfer payments? They simply have no skin in the game so they will almost vote for redistributive taxes and spending. It's the same logic why we don't have banks participating in derivative contracts because they can hedge against risk so well that they remove any risk and have no skin in the game.

Well, never, since I'm allergic to eggs! Lol. My insurance has a formulary to make you select your drugs from the least expensive available. I also go to NPs to save money and ask for samples.

It's hard because in the U.S. is one of the few countries where people can choose to have health care. In Canada EVERYONE has healthcare in expense of more taxes, and in the states Obamacare covers for the lower classes.

In theory, reforms and adjustments are good, going forward, improving plans or laws should happen all the time. The problem is....what are you trading it for. Has anyone announced the new plans, new costs, new direction...calculations made what it costs tax payers and what you get in return. If Trump is about checks and balances....where are they?

Why is everyone applauding it when nobody knows if they even want to take care of people at all. Is that not worrying anyone?

Give me a break, all the people who were insured under Obamacare will be insured under Trumpcare. We don't want Obamacare anymore, premiums went up 50-60%. Far from affordable. His plan was a failure and so unaffordable. Ridiculous fees and pricing.

Bye bye Obamacare, my wallet won't miss you. Thankfully we will all be ensured under Trumpcare just like Obamacare but prices will be lower.

Ummm, link me to their plan plz? Cuz so far, it seems the GOP doesn't have a real plan.

That's bullshit. If ur gonna repeal and replace something, we should know the specifics before it happens.

He said he was going to replace it immediately and that is what he is going to do. He is not stupid enough to let people go without insurance, he wants to win voters. He said in 60 Minutes he would never do that, lets give him the first 100 days and see what he will do

The idea that the American people should be forced to wait to find out what his health care plan is, is crazy. Quite honestly, he should've outlined it in his campaign. We should've known before the election what his plan would be. The fact that 2 months afterward, we still don't know, is just ridiculous. I guess we have no choice to wait and see, but this isn't a reality show, we shouldn't have to wait in suspense to find out who gets healthcare.

I think an issue that's happening as well is that Obamacare works for some and completely screws over others.

Because I've heard from both sides.

I think it needs to be fixed but idk if I agree how Republicans are approaching it.

Improvement is always a plus, no matter who puts it forward. It just worries me how some Republicans voted down on the pre-existing condition provision.

He said a million things that he is going back on now or pretending he never said. He will just lie about it or blame someone else when it doesn't work out like he promised. He's a narcissist and a pathological liar. His reality is different from everyone else's and he has no remorse for lying or empathy towards those he hurts in the process.
