Rebounding nicely in NZ, Italy, Switzerland from banners and discounts. Also great response in Canada already and it's overnight hours.

Not much of an effect in Australia though.

First, that's not even her team's job. The marketing department at the label does that.

Second, there are many things going on behind these decisions that neither you nor me are aware of. Even IF her team was bad, you wouldn't know that from banners appearing or not appearing on iTunes. I mean, it's hilarious. Do you think they sit down and go "okay guys it's banner time. Let's do one for Luxemburg, that sounds like a fun country. US? Nah, I don't feel like it."?

Third, those things are overrated anyway. Sure a banner or a discount can do wonders for someone like Kiiara, but when you're Lady Gaga performing at the Super Bowl, the only thing that really matters is the performance and thats' what her team is and should be focused on right now.

Yes, I honestly do think the marketing department chooses where to place ads. My theory's that the US banners were already all occupied and they couldn't get a placement.

No one knows how iTunes ad placements really work, but I suspect it's the way you buy any other placement until all placements are done. Of course each placement has its quota.

I'm sure her immediate team is smart and is working on an amazing SBHFS, but the marketing department is definitely lacking. It's convenient to have a banner! Not a necessity, yes, but it would be convenient. However they seem like they're pushing MR further so Hot Tracks I think is a necessity.
